  4. Love this quilt! The colors are really cool. I like seeing things that are “out of my box” so to speak. Color combinations I would not think of. Beautiful! The binding fabric rocks!!

Now that’s what I call a great finish! The chair quilt gives a nice shot of the quilting, too. This is definitely a winning finish!

Hello Roseanne; I am so glad that you shared another of your finished quilts because they are very inspiring! You are also inspiring me to reach outside of my comfort zone and give these free motion patterns a try. You have done such a marvelous job with this quilt and forgive my memory but I believe it was the last quilt that you did the feathers for the quilting pattern and it also turned out so wonderfully! Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us on how you were feeling before, during and after your quilting challenge plus sharing the links because it all helps more than you know! Congrats on another delightful quilt finish! Have a spectacular day!

You do dearly deserve a big woot woot for meeting your OMG this month! It’s a great feeling isn’t it. Now you have a beautiful quilt to enjoy and the quilting is perfect to me. BTW did you notice that I finally figured out how to leave you a comment, don’t ask why it took me so long.

  13. Kathryn says:

Looks great and the colours in this one are to my liking! I know we all pick our own quilting to bits but really as you say once its washed and ready to use – its just loved!

I have too many tops that just need quilted too. They have found their way into the closet, so they’ll have to be more patient that yours. However, quilty and squishy beats a top any day, and you really just see pretty fabrics and some overall texture — not any of the inconsistencies that you mentioned.

  15. Christine says:

Yay for getting a UFO finished! I think the floppy feathers look fantastic! I still have to learn how to do feathers too. I never seem to be able to even draw them out right. One of these days, I’ll work up the courage to tackle them!

  16. That is the way to do it. Simple patchwork enhanced by lovely quilting!!!

It is awesome! I just need to get into a FMQ mode and try some motifs. Your finish is so wonderful, I don’t notice a scale issue on the feathers at all.

  20. Love Love those fabrics! Beautiful finish!

    A wonderful finish. Congrats!

  22. Gretchen says:

Great finish! No one is going to notice those feathers are slightly different, if they do notice, just say pooh to you!

  23. Shannon Fleming says:

Beautiful quilt, Roseanne! I agree, no one can see the mistakes once it’s washed!

  24. Those fabrics are so pretty, aren’t they? And that pattern really shows them off well, I think. Your feathers are just great, and of course I like the patio shot!! Yay! You have a nice finish. Time to celebrate 🙂
