Adorable quilt, but I think the photos are just awesome! Those are going to be keepers for a lifetime! What a family treasure!

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi,
Thanks so much! I agree – those pictures are priceless and keepers. GG loves her greats – they keep her young. ~smile~ Roseanne

  2. What a blessing for GG and great grandchildren to have a set time together each week! I think those memories will be carried with the quilt forever. And it never hurts to have a doxie on quilt either, you know. Here’s to happy babies, great grands, and great quilts! Nicely done.

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Julie!
Well, aren’t you sweet?! I do love doxies . . . my brother always had one. I remember when I was small, me and my dad and the doxie went into Kmart. My dad had him under his arm, tail wagging away. The store manager told us we couldn’t bring a dog into the store and my dad was shocked! Why?? He did let us stay as long as he was under his arm. That is a fun memory for me today! And GG loves, loves, LOVES spending time with her greats. Nothing better! ~smile~ Roseanne

  3. What a cute quilt with a sweet baby. I like to listen to TV shows like the radio when I am quilting too. 🙂

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Dione,
That baby really has my heart! It really doesn’t matter to me what is on the TV as long as I don’t have to watch it to know what’s going on. Any reruns, like Friends or Big Bang works well or really old shows. Thank you so much for visiting and commenting! I hope you come again. ~smile~ Roseanne

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Allison,
Thanks so much – we’re kind of partial to them both. GG is enjoying her quilt and uses it every week when she is babysitting for a few hours. Thanks so much for visiting and commenting! I appreciate it very much. ~smile~ Roseanne

  4. What a beautiful quilt and lucky little baby!

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Cheryl,
Aww, thank you so much. He is a slightly spoiled baby, but we are so blessed to have him (I can’t help myself). Thanks so much for visiting and leaving a comment. I hope you come again. ~smile~ Roseanne

I love this quilt and its story! It’s super cute to start with, but has special provenance that makes it extra nice. 🙂 I relly enjoyed your share.

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Lynette,
Well, aren’t you sweet?!! Thanks so much for your kind comments. GG has given it a good test for two weeks now – she even had to wash/dry it because someone spit up on it. ~smile~ Roseanne

This is such a lovely story Roseanne! The quilt is very cute!

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Sue,
Thanks so much for visiting and commenting. GG gave the quilt a good use both last week and earlier this week. She even had to wash it already because someone is teething. We all love that baby! ~smile~ Roseanne

  7. Wow, this turned out super! Love the people and quilt shots! I think it’s such a great idea for the GG to have a quilt at her house for the great grandson! Great to have the help too to get ‘er done.

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Sandra,
Thank so much! GG gave it a test ride on Tuesday – they watched Mickey Mouse and Tom and Jerry cartoons together. He loves his GG nearly as much as she loves him. ~smile~ Roseanne

  8. How sweet of you to make the quilt for grandma! 🙂

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Cindy!
Yes, GG is happy to have one for the days she watches him. They all enjoy cartoons together and he lays on the new quilt. ~smile~ Roseanne

  9. That’s a lovely way to get a quilt panel off the ‘to do’ list and into use. I have several panels and realise after seeing your lovely quilt and the fun it’s giving to at least two generations of your family that I should just do some straightforward quilting on my panels and get them to people who will love them!

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Allison!
Oh, I hope you do get them finished up and into loving hands. That’s all that matters, right?! That they are loved and enjoyed. ~smile~ Roseanne

  10. Susan says:

Fabulous finish! This was definitely well worth putting the QAL’s on hold for. Thanks for sharing!

  11. smilesfromkate says:

Lovely, so bright and happy. It’s lovely to see the different generations together and when he passes the quilt down to his child he can show the photograph and it will make it all the more real.

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Kate,
What a lovely sentiment to share! I never thought of that . . . that is so sweet. Happy Thanksgiving to you! ~smile~ Roseanne

  12. AJ says:

It’s so perfect for a little one with all those bright colours:)

  13. What an adorable quilt finish…. And that chubby cheeked baby too!

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Lorna,
Yeah, he pretty much has me wrapped around those sweet little fingers. Thankfully he hasn’t figured it out . . . yet. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! ~smile~ Roseanne

  14. This is such a fun quilt with all those prints. Goes great with that little cutie pie!

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Shannon,
Aww shucks, thanks! I am pretty darn partial to him. You HAVE to see tomorrow post – you will die if you think he was cute in today’s picture. I just LOVE it – no bias at all!! ~smile~ Roseanne

  15. Vicki in MN says:

Love the finish, perfect diagonal quilting will still keep it soft while holding it all together. I know you are feeling mighty good about a finish-keep it up!!

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Vicki,
That I am, and I am super happy they could use it on Tuesday. I have to concentrate on that Evening Star or I’m going to have another fail this month. Oh no – not me – not again! ~smile~ Roseanne

  16. Gretchen says:

A lovely quilt, very nice of you to think of great-grandma, she definitely needs a special quilt for the baby. Happy Thanksgiving!

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Gretchen!
She got a chance to break it in yesterday, so to speak. She watched him for a few hours and they introduced him to Tom and Jerry cartoons. He’s not spoiled at all. Nope! Happy Thanksgiving to you as well. Mine will be fabulous. ~smile~ Roseanne
