I Love Thursday #107 Happy Halloween
Happy Halloween to all that celebrate! This is the 107th post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Digging a hole! Woot, woot. We have lived in our house for 10+ years, and the lot next to us has had potential stakes for building several times. Finally, at long, long, LONG last we have a digger and a hole. A foundation should be forthcoming, we can only hope.
Doesn’t our grass look nice and green?! Humorously, the builder that had owned this lot said a house was built and ready to move in back in 2014. Umm, no. There has not been a house there, and it cannot be moved into any time soon.
Mums! And a successful science experiment. Last year for my birthday I was given these two cute, little mums. I kept them alive over the winter and planted them outside this summer. The fruits of that labor are being revealed, and I am enjoying the heck out of them.
The burgundy-colored petals remained true and the same color, while the striped petals have slightly changed. Last year, they were more yellow-hued while this Fall they feature more orange. I call this science experiment a huge success. I do wonder what happened to those sweet, pumpkin pots that the small mums came in.
Halloween costumes! In keeping with the holiday theme of the day, I thought I’d share a few cute Halloween costumes.
Dominic’s first Halloween he was Bam Bam from the Flintstones. That was his first, first costume. His second, first costume was a skeleton that he wore to the pumpkin farm.
Turtle power was the name of the game for his second year of trick or treating. He even helped pass out candy at grandma’s house. That was just LAST year. OMG!
Addison is just having her first Halloween this year. I couldn’t help but show you the cute Tigger she would have made but alas she outgrew this costume.
Finally, both of our little sweeties checked out pumpkins with one shoe off. Of course, they each lost a shoe on different feet. Is that a view into the future?! Next week I’ll share their 2019 costumes.
Thank you cookies! Sue leases her car and her most recent lease just ended. As a thank you for starting a new lease, she got these in the mail.
Isn’t that a nice surprise?! She shared them with me and they were pretty darn tasty, too. She’s nice that way!
Not too many photos of the littles here since I share oodles above! In keeping with the Fall theme, Dominic tried his hand at a ring toss game. He loves brushing his teeth and thought he’d have a seat on the naughty chair while brushing. I guess it’s a lot of work so you need to take a load off. Plus, he had a nice smile for grandma while brushing. One fine morning Dominic thought Addison needed to be
tickled tackled. Ticka-ticka! Finally, Addison is not sure she likes wearing shoes. But she does want to walk . . . so whatever it takes. Oh, just one more – the ever-popular baby-in-a-box times two! The box was big enough for both of them with no fighting. Woot woot! ♥ ♥ ♥
