I Love Thursday #116 So Many Blessings
This is the 116th post of things we love for the week and the very first one for the new decade. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Happy New Year! Here it is the second of January already. Did you have a nice quiet celebration to ring in the New Year or was it loud and rowdy? Sue and I spent a quiet evening enjoying some wine that we received as gifts. Moscato taste test number two – our first happened back on Mother’s Day.
Have a beary great time! This is the cute little picture that was sent to all staff in my school district as a send-off for the winter break. I do hope everyone is having a beary great time!
Living by Lake Michigan. I guess as a young child/adult I took living near a Great Lake for granted, but not everyone gets to enjoy one. The beauty, calmness or power it contains is just amazing. Here are two recent photos, one showing a gorgeous sunrise over Michigan to our East and the other the choppy waters when the wind gets going. Just looks at those low lying clouds – I’ll bet Michigan was getting some Lake-effect snow. I love to just go and take a walk by the Lake.
Addison was lucky and got a box for a gift. Oh, it may have held some cool things inside but who cares about that. A happy baby in a box is a good thing! Dominic got a cool easel from Grandma and was happily drawing on it like a big boy. Inspector Addison is on the job and checked out his work. Yes, he did pass inspection. She’s usually tough but it is the holidays, after all.
A few days after Christmas we got to spend time with our littles. I’m not sure who liked it more . . . Addison and I, reading her Elmo book. Or possibly Auntie Sue giving our sweet girl some puffs while she watches Sesame Street. Possibly, it might be Dominic in his highchair that is too small for him. But he still enjoys watching Sesame Street and sitting in it! Finally, momma had to work a 12-hour shift. Two small little ones were missing her and stood at the front door watching for her to drive up. Wouldn’t that have just warmed your heart?! Waiting be like . . . ♥ ♥ ♥
