I think ANY step toward re-using/recycling plastic is a good step, so I applaud the partnership! Love the quote you included – what a terrific laugh!!! And the kids are adorable, as always!

ROFL at the kids’ with marker on their face! Oh you made my day! They are getting sooooo big! Have a blessed week!

I agree on the Brewer cups recyling. My kids love big boxes too. That’s a lot of ice! It actually makes me feel cold. BRRR.

Beautiful winter wonderland photo, but I imagine it wasn’t fun getting to work with that around. Fun pics of the little ones. Big boxes were a major favorite in this house when the SIT was that age. Have a great weekend.

Love the two of them in the box…wouldn’t mind getting that shipment myself! Ending the week on a sweet note…thank you as always!

Yes to any idea about recycling. Every little bit has to be a help. I’m glad to listen to your soapbox chat anytime. Did the markers on the face happen with you two? Too cute.

  8. Sally says:

Wow that ice. Yay for recycling. After reading so many stories in how it’s failing, it’s nice to see some good news. I find it better to laugh at life than to cry.

  9. BRRRR …. all that ice!!! There was a rumour that daffodils are poking there heads up about an hours drive west of here. Rumour, that’s all. Ours are poking up, but no where near showing their colours!
    The sign is perfect!
And of course, your littles are so very precious!
I like your soapbox story! Recycling is great!
    Happy Quilting! 🙂

Yep markers on the face seem to be a thing. My girls did it, the little boys. I like that they are repurposing the cups. Great pic of the lighthouse. Boxes are awesome when you are little, or a cat! Great to see the littles and their adventures.

  11. I am always so happy to hear when people have a new idea for recycling, and I imagine the Brewers have tons of those plastic cups to do something with so kudos to them. I agree with Chris – using a marker to decorate your face is a rite of passage, lol! Hopefully it was washable!

  12. chrisknits says:

Oh goodness! The marker photo reminds me of a photo of my girls all markered up!! LOL. It’s a rite of passage I believe. Finally catching up on blogs! 5 days away from the blog reading makes for a very long list of things to read. Happy Thursday!

The kids are so cute! Especially with the black marker! Always mischief. And how super super cool that they’re going to use the cups from the games to recycle locally into the bottles! Hooray! Good recycling news amid all the bad recycling news that’s been around lately!

  14. Rochelle Summers says:

Hmm. Pretty icy back there. Pretty dry out here! Love the recycling. Was served a drink (paper cup) with a paper straw last week. Like that idea! Love that sign! The two littles are so cute. Boxes are better than the gifts! Had a washer box in my living room for many months that the grandkids loved. Door, window and room enough to stand up.

  15. Recycling – such a good thing and an idea people will remember! Dominic and the marker…a story book in that! My husband used to regularly make our son a cat – I am surprised he didn’t return the favor but no siblings and we wouldn’t have been fooled. Happy Thursday!

I love recycling when I can but it goes to extremes as well – I think that is a good solution for the cups – I know of know other way they could serve drinks at a venue that size. One thing that bugs me is that people want to do away with straws – I like straws – I can not image getting a to go drink without one if you are planning on drinking it in the car – without a straw I can just see how many drinks I would be spilling down my shirt.

  17. Fun post, soapbox and all. Especially the littles!
