I Love Thursday #122 Plentiful Blessings
Happy Birthday to Chris, Dominic and Addison’s dad. This is the 122nd post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Three year anniversary! What the heck . . . how did that sneak up on us?!? I guess we are celebrating our third anniversary without any fanfare. Maybe it can be celebrated like Sue does her birthday, which is all of June; or we could celebrate the half-anniversary in August. Whatevs – it arrived well under the radar.
Building beginning! Some of the lumber was delivered for the house next door. Let the building begin, well before the weather allows us to open the windows. The garage is going to be on the side closest to our bedrooms, so we think that might be a good sign. We’ve been neighborless for 10 years so I expect there will be some adjustment period!
Quilts, Quilts and More Quilts! My coworker picked this book up for Sue and me at her local library’s book sale. I used restraint (!!) and marked only five pages for quilts that I would like to make sooner than later. Sue even agreed with my choices and marked a few more.
Furniture shopping . . . and a car?! Notice the pretty red SUV right behind the sofa and matching love seat? My friend and her husband were doing a little furniture shopping when this car drove through the front door! It only stopped because it hit the checker-covered pole. No one was hurt, thankfully . . . and they didn’t find any furniture, either.
Dominic now eats like a big boy at the big boy table. Waaaaa – our baby is growing up. He also picked up some new sunglasses at the Dollar Store. Doesn’t everyone wear them with their jammies in the closet? But let’s see how cute you are without them, please. Dominic is also the mastermind behind the great escape plan that went bust when momma caught them redhanded. Addison thought a winning smile might just distract momma from their escape . . . but alas, not so much.
Addison got to wear the new sunglasses for just a moment before her brother tried to reclaim them. For Auntie Nicole’s baby shower, Addison was a big girl and attended. She wore a fetching sunflower dress and drank from a straw thanks to Auntie Sue. A nap afterward had her sleeping hard as witnessed by the bedhead hairdo she rocked upon awakening. ♥ ♥ ♥
Two extra baby shower photos because these two are so darn cute! Nicole and William laughing and having fun opening a gift. Also, a serious moment when we all had to discuss whether the Milwaukee Brewers paper was used to wrap some gifts. Never fear, it is generic baseball paper that was oh so cute and oh so nice! Everyone in attendance knew that these two are Cubs fans. ♥ ♥ ♥
Join us each week for our linky party called To-Do Tuesday! Our other Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link above or along the sidebar on our website for more quilting fun – check out what our friends are up to. Like/follow us on our Facebook page and you can share your photos of what you’re working on. We would love to see them!
