I Love Thursday #127 Blessings Galore
This is the 127th post of things we love for the week. I apologize for missing last week! We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Americans drink over 100 billion cups of coffee every year (WOW!!) and over 16 billion of those coffees are bought in disposable paper cups. That equates to 58% of the paper cup consumption in the world! Whenever possible, use a reusable cup and do your part to help save our planet. Green Match offers more environmentally-friendly information.
Of course, we’ll have to wait until the pandemic is over to start following this advice!
Boring! Sue announced, “this is SO boring.” And she LOVES to stay home! She truly is the original home-body . . . how she got me for a bestie is beyond imagination. But we’re doing our part to not get sick and not spread the sickness . . . so home we stay. We are wishing all of you the same – stay healthy and safe.
Introducing Colt John! Our newest great-nephew and dedicated Cubs fan arrived on March 11th. He was 8 pounds, 9 ounces and 23 inches long born at 9:06 a.m. We have been able to meet this little sweet pea, and I knew you would enjoy a few photos of Mr. Personality.
Block from a friend! “My Laura” (or should that be ‘our’?) sent me this beautiful block as a nice gesture. Some of the fabric is from Africa – I feel quite special to warrant the use of that fabric. Now I just have to come up with the perfect use for this block – any suggestions? My Laura is trying to get me out of my comfort zone and into more scrappy-ness. I’ll try!
Addison and Dominic have been keeping us sane and down-to-earth during these crazy times. They enjoyed happy times at home on St. Patrick’s Day only to send Addi over the edge by her new cousin, Colt. She did not like being by Dominic’s friend, Zeus the dog one bit and wasn’t feeling posing for the camera. Both boys had to check to see what all the crying was about, and wonder if they should join in?!
Is there anything better than eating breakfast in jammies?! Well, yes, actually that would be jumping on My First Trampoline! Shortly thereafter, Auntie Rose read the counting book which is a good time. Dominic ALWAYS loves to jump on the couch, while Addison r.o.c.k.s. the Oshkosh bib shorts. Finally, some fresh air and smiles were enjoyed by both – all bundled up.
Join us each week for our linky party called To-Do Tuesday!
