I Love Thursday #163 Numerous Blessings
This is the 163rd post of things we love for the week. Oops, I forgot to set this to be sent earlier today! We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.

Love #1
More than Peach! Here’s an inspiring story about a third-grade student who is making a difference. When prompted to pass a “skin-tone” crayon to a classmate, she realized that there are many more skin tones beyond peach. With her parents’ help and blessing, she has started distributing crayons in a multitude of skin colors. I hope you have a moment to read about Bellen’s project, More than Peach. She’s now in fifth-grade . . . I can’t imagine all the impact she’ll make during her life on positive change.

Love #2
Serious fun! I’m warning my friends and family now – we are due some serious fun once the pandemic is behind us. Party like it’s 2020 – a due over, of sorts, no matter when we’re able. I think we’ve all earned this, don’t you?!

Love #3
Our Christmas cactus has graced us with a few blossoms just in time for the holidays. In previous years, it has bloomed near Thanksgiving and then one other time near Easter. I guess it’s one more thing to chalk up to 2020 as it seems to be as confused as we are. For now, we’ll just enjoy the heck out of the blossoms.

Love #4
Colt spent a little time with us last weekend. Of course, that involved some fun times with Annie Sue – giggles were shared all around. Mr. 9-month-old now can stand in the middle of the room all by himself. The key is that he needs to have something in his hand to be able to do it – you know it won’t be long now before he is running after his cousins. Colt didn’t mind having a bit of Adios time especially when it included a selfie.
Who are those hoodlums in jammies and hats?! How adorable do they look, getting ready for bed?! Addi has a new ballerina outfit which will be the theme for her January birthday. The small photo of Dominic is him in his pre-school program outfit. I had to take a screenshot from the video they shared with the parents (which was promptly shared with Gamma, GG, and us, of course).

Consider joining us each Tuesday for our hosted linky party called To-Do Tuesday. Check our sidebar or our Linky Parties page on our website for more quilting fun. Like/follow us on our Facebook page to share photos of what you’re working on. We would love to see them!
I love the videos! They suddenly became so “alive”…now this has made my whole month! And Colt’s blue eyes are astonishingly blue…we have ice blue eyes in the family, they pale out completely in comparison! Your cactus puts all my plants to shame, I have been slowly supervising over their inevitable demise, sigh, black thumb…
So darn sweet! I love their Jingle bells version and the little girl with the crayons of many skin tones. Puts the warm fuzzy into Christmas for me.
I miss the SITs Christmas programs, it was always so fun to see the kids all dressed up and hear the songs they would sing. We’ll all be ready for a nice big party when we get a handle on the pandemic. It would be nice just to go out for dinner, not go get take out. Have a great week.
My Christmas Cactus is considering throwing out some blooms. The jingle bells songs are precious, made me laugh. Oh Colt he is getting ready to run with the big dogs.
Let’s hear it for Christmas cactus blooms! And all the littles–how fun! Enjoy!!
OH SO CUTE! If those kids singing don’t put you in the holiday mood nothing will! Look out world! Colt is going to be mobile!!! Love your posts so much Roseanne! Thank you for your positivity!
Roseanne – the story behind More than Peach is so inspiring. Kids can be so creative because they are free of adult constraints.
You bet we are going to party like mad when this is all over! I am busy training my liver now!
Roseanne, Bellen’s story and crayon project sure does inspire hope that this next generation just might get it right! I loved the Jingle Bells shows; so much fun to hear these sweet little voices. Enjoy your cactus blooms. Maybe it just knew we all need a little extra beauty this year! 😉
Aw, how adorable!!! Love their songs.
The “More than Peach” project is just wonderful! Even those of us with light skin have lots of different colors. Love the Jingle Bells renditions and that adorable Colt working on standing up already! And I totally agree that, as soon as we can, there’s some serious fun to be had!
This post is truly inspiring and so fun! I love seeing the kids in action! I think I saw an article about the girl with the more than peach crayon. So smart at such a young age! I’m looking forward to fun times in the future. This has been going on too long!
Great loves – I love all of them! Have a great week. 🙂
Wonderful post that brings so much joy! 🙂
A wonderful post full of inspiration and smiles. Love that little girl and her idea of skin colors. The Christmas cactus is beautiful and that is a much needed bit of bright. Lets do party big when we’ve all had our shots and gotten rid of face masks. And those littles, they steal the show every time. Have a great weekend.
Oh my goodness, how sweet are your little loves! Loved the singing ones especially!! And, of course the tiny dancer!! How awesome is that More than Peach crayon pack! Such a wise and special little girl! Definitely am loving #2 meme!! I so NEED that! Wouldn’t it be great if those of us doing the secret sewing could meet up at our host’s home when this is all over?! I plan to go to one of her land locked cruises at some point in time!! Thanks for sharing your loves this week!
Goodness, there is much excitement going on over in your neck of the woods! Wilbs is the only one jingle-bellin’ here, as he chases jingle bells through the house (hey, it keeps him distracted from the tree!). Fun post once again – thanks!
