I Love Thursday #21 – End of February
This is our 21st list of loves for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along LeeAnna on blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several of our friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out!
Twenty-six day until the start of Spring. How fabulous is that?! I know we can make it through, as we will live through those days regardless of what Mother Nature throws at us. It sure is fun to think about those little daffodils sprouting soon along with its friends the tulips. Anyone else in for some nice Spring thoughts?
I just finished another book called Dark of the Moon. It is by John Sandford, and is the first in his series about BCA agent Virgil Flowers. It takes place in Minnesota, which I find rather homey. It was very good – a quick read for me that I got from the library. I will be putting the next book on hold and read when it becomes available. I found Virgil to be a likable character and he resolved the crimes he was charged with solving.
Biathlon! I love watching the Olympics, especially the biathlon. Something about skiing and shooting and to have to train for both sports, I think is really cool. There are still a couple more of the event to enjoy before the closing ceremony. I hope you’ve been able to watch and cheer on all the fabulous athletes that have devoted their life to training.
Random mail! We just received a card in the mail from a member of our church. She said our names randomly came up and that the Rebekah Circle is praying for us. What a nice thought! This just touches me so to know that several strangers are holding us in their prayers. It came with this handwritten poem: A feather, a robin, a butterfly too, are all signs your angels are standing with you. God Bless, Helen Z. And to think that February isn’t Sue’s favorite month. With all the blessings we are receiving that has to change! I thought this was ironic after mentioning the pennies last week.
Mr. Dominic has moved on to a bit of stage 2 foods now. Today he enjoyed applesauce, spinach and blueberries. All together, if you can even imagine that. Ugg. Rumor has it he enjoyed what made it into his mouth. He was annoyed because he isn’t allowed to feed himself yet. Don’t rush it buddy – you’re not even six months yet! Did I mention lately that I l.o.v.e. this baby?!!
That’s it for this week! I hope your week is filled with many blessings. Happy Thursday!
