I Love Thursday #27 – Happy April
This is our 27th post of loves for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find inspiration.
Another new-to-me author, Brad Meltzer. I started with his first book, The Tenth Justice – I have to read books in order even if they are stand alone books! This is another author I noticed in my weekly Barnes & Noble email and thought I’d give it a try. This book is all about Supreme Court Justice clerks – very interesting and it kept me wondering until the very last page. I just started another of his books, Millionaires.
Easter eggs! Why is it that the dyed colored eggs taste so much better than plain ones? I eat one hardboiled egg every morning at work. The pink, purple, yellow and green ones that I’ve enjoyed this week taste SO much better. And as a shameless plug, if you didn’t see Sunday’s post with Dominic wishing you a Hoppy Easter to those who celebrate you need to check it out. It will make you smile!
Quality Candy. As a child, we always had Quality Candy chocolate candy in my Easter basket. They may be only a Wisconsin thing, but it really is still the best. They have merged with Buddy Squirrel and we have to go to Milwaukee now to get it. Their whipped creme eggs, solid chocolate foil balls, and chocolate-covered marshmallow bunnies still make me swoon. It might be all that sugar . . . ~smile~. I hope you had something special in your basket.
Hotdog, hotdog, hot diggety dog! Here’s our baby watching the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse song with Dr. Auntie Sue on her phone. This way he can’t get his little fingers on the buttons. Not to worry – we had it on TV later in the morning. He never tires of seeing MM. Oh, he doesn’t usually lay on a princess pillow! That was just for those infrequent slow tips backwards from his sitting up stage. Somehow he can lift both legs off the ground at the same time and expect to stay sitting upright!
That’s it for this week! I hope your week is filled with many blessings. Happy Thursday! Our Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link for more quilting fun or in the sidebar of our website – check out what our friends are up to. Like/follow us on our Facebook page and share your likes/loves there! We love to see them. ~smile~
