I Love Thursday #28 Update
This is our 28th post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find inspiration.
Angels amongst us. A friend and fellow blogger (Tracy at Its A T-Sweets Day) posted a message last week about how a nice angel sent her a nice surprise. I love the thought that there are angels here on earth, living amongst us. A while ago, I remember hearing an interview with a musician where he said he would like to believe this. I do believe it, and I think we see examples of it quite often. Just not on the nightly news!
Fellow quilters are the best! I mentioned that we are starting an I Spy quilt for Dominic, but that we are short quite a few blocks. Several friends sent us some of their stash and we now can really start sewing it! Chris from Chris Knits Sews, Michele from our own 3 Poodles and a Nana, and Terri from Quilting Nonnie sent all this fabric:
Isn’t this just AMAZING?!!! Stay tuned for a post about this in-progress project.
My bestie! Even though I was whining all week about everything including quilting projects, she stuck with me. She helped me get through the funk, back to feeling like quilting again with a purpose. That’s one of the reasons why I love her!
Last week I mentioned a book by Brad Meltzer, and then started his second book, The Millionaires. I was a little disappointed in that it had the same recipe for the characters in this next book. After reading further, it was similar but still very captivating. So, I would still recommend his books, and I just received a notice that a third book by him is available for me to read called Dead Even. So, I guess I’ll borrow that one now too.
Woody from Toy Story! We have our own little version to share with you today. This picture was taken before our happy boy had a double ear infection. He would still smile at us though even though his ears and mouth hurt – let those teeth come through soon, please! Sheriff Dominic at your service, ma’am. ~smile~
That’s it for this week! I hope your week is filled with many blessings. Happy Thursday!
