I Love Thursday #37
This is our 37th post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Quilting label! I have to confess. We do not label our quilts. ~hanging my head~ Go ahead; tell us all the reasons we should. You may not be able to figure us for this misdeed, but I hope you can. I am sharing the coolest idea I’ve ever seen for a label! I follow Mary’s blog, Quilting is In My Blood. She shared her latest finish with this label that includes the link to her blog post about the quilt. I love that idea!! Visit her post for all the details but may just be the inspiration to get us labeling. Maybe.
New garden gloves! A friend from work ordered a pair of these gloves (Amazon link – no affiliation) for Sue and I. They have hard plastic tips on the end of each finger, rather like claws. I gave them a try when doing some planting and they work great! Usually I get dirt under my nails even when wearing gloves, which drives me nuts. No dirty nails with these gloves, and I didn’t need to use a shovel for digging. I can’t thank Kimee enough, and I highly recommend them. I might recommend getting them for only one hand . . . but maybe not. I don’t know – I used both of them but it was hard to get the plant out of the pot. You could always use a regular glove on the other hand based on which hand you might dig with.
Sue and EQ8. Sue is really rockin’ this software. She’s been working her way through all the different lessons. One of them is a little alphabet appliqué block that we will just have to make for a certain baby mentioned in Love #6. I mean seriously, D is for doggie. Who can pass that up?? Can’t you just see the little puppy print fabric as sashing around the letter?! Anyhoo – this makes me think we will absolutely have some rockin’ free patterns available later this year. With more than six months to go in the year, that’s plenty of time to get some patterns ready right?!
Charlie and Snoopy! A friend posted this on Facebook because it reminded her of a really good friend that had been gone for a few years. Aww, it is a sweet little sentiment for all of us perhaps. I love the friendship between Charlie and Snoopy.
Baby pools! Dominic has a baby pool which is fitting since he is still a baby. I seem to have a hard time remembering he is only nine months because he is such a big boy in some areas. With his new pool he really needed some swimmer diapers, because without them he weighs 100# according to his mother. Who knew that extra absorbent diapers would absorb ALL the water in the pool. So to Target we ran to pick up the appropriate sized swimmer diapers, and thankfully they had them IN STOCK. One happy baby and one happy momma is a win/win. Did I mention lately that we love this baby?! ♥
That’s it for this week! We hope your week is filled with many blessings. Happy Thursday!
