  1. Oh my goodness! So many trials. I’m thankful that you have overcome those hurdles. Flowers truly do add a spark of color that warms any landscape. 😊❤️

finally coming up for air, and visiting. I love William and Mary, secretly hoping DH may teach there sometime and I can wallow in williamsburg to my heart’s content

Yes, it always seems that the appliances all decide to go on ‘strike’ together. Would it be too much of a conspiracy theory to say that they work it out while we are on vacation? Love the little red wagon. Never fails that the ‘easy to assemble’ instructions take 5 hours (or more!)

Thanks for sharing. I recently saw Plymouth Rock, I have mixed feelings about it. Dominick is getting cuter and cuter. I agree flowers greeting you as you drive in always give you a smile.

There is nothing like looking at our blessings, is there?

Love your Thursday posts. They make me stop and think about things I love (am grateful for). My flowers are growing and some are doing better than others. Hot dry climate makes this a challenge!

  7. I’m behind on my planter flowers as well. Seems to be that kind of year. Glad you had a nice trip and now a working AC! So important!

What a cutie! Tell him I like cookies too!!

  9. Flowers oh yes! They just make a home, they truly do. As for AC and washing machine issues, always always always at the worst times. Our AC went last year in July when my husband was not home but out in Alberta, of course. We did get it replaced and it was a don’t pay now plan, that if you paid it off in one shot there was no interest. So we took that and it felt so bizarre to pay for an air conditioner in February! LOL sure glad of it this past week I’ll say! Dominic awww!

Hello Roseanne; Such a fun and happy post to read! I love flower gardens and usually go all out with planting and so forth, but this year, it just kept raining and being cold and then all of the sudden we were all hot. So, I loved seeing your lovely garden! I was never able to grow Hostas. Yours are so beautiful. So glad that major appliances are working again. Thank you for sharing everything. Have a great day! Oops almost forgot….Dominic is such a cutie, love his being spoiled and making his Thank You cookies for Uncle John!

My blessings arrived last night. Our middle daughter and her family drove and camped all the way from the Monterey Bay to central Alabama arriving last night. It has been almost 2 years since we were out there. Besides our daughter and her husband there are 4 grandchildren ages almost 10 to 17. My heart is over flowing!

Aren’t hostas amazing! They look fresh all summer long even in the heat. And just a few make a big impact.
I’m thinking little D is like my littler grandson…the only grandchild for half his family. He was given a police car and a John Deere tractor (child sized) to drive around when he was still a toddler. He has been spoiled but it hasn’t spoiled him, if you know what I mean.
I remember adoring long weekends…and just think Roseanne, when you get to retire, it will all be long weekends.

  13. I love your porch flowers! I agree, they do make a difference for making a house look welcoming and cared for. I loved your slideshow! I would also love to visit Jamestown. We went to the Plimoth Plantation historical village years ago, and it was fascinating! Happy Dominic – always fun to see what he’s been up to!

  14. Aww…so cute! Glad you got your AC fixed!

  15. A fun post to read. You came up with a great reward — who can turn down cookies?
