That’s a really exciting post, so many new family members! I love the quilt you plan for the new baby. What an exciting time in Dominic’s life. I love watching babies grow and learn – especially since they aren’t mine any more. LOL Great patterns you chose. I look forward to seeing the quilts you both make.

You play Mexican Train! My husband and I played that a lot with British friends every summer – they were camp hosts at a small, free, forest campground where we stayed. We also played it with each other on chilly winter nights in RV parks. It’s a great game, and I taught it to a 6 yo (Miss R) so I would have a partner, but she isn’t here to play often. It’s a hoot to play with a child!

Congrats on that big win! I used to play something called Mexican Train Dominoes and we had so much fun with it. Did Dominic have Sophie the Giraffe? Giraffes are a great theme. Imagine Dominic walking!! Where has the time gone??

  3. Always enjoy everyone’s likes posts. Mine is 3/4 written for next week, something that is good as I was dealt a major blow of nastiness yesterday, so it’s good to remember the good. Love that photo of your boy, and giraffes! Lorna’s pattern is my favourite, but your little guy is looking pretty adorable too. Man, Chicago…only 4 hours from me…one day we should set up a get-together for bloggers to meet up there for a day or two! Think we could find plenty of eats, shops, and museums etc, Frank Lloyd Wright stuff too, to do…

We learned to play Mexican Train last October when my brother and sister in law came to visit. So much fun! I love hand-made items for weddings and births – my daughter and I painted a plate for the wedding of my husband’s cousin (about a week away) and earlier this year I made a counted cross-stitch birth announcement for my niece. Joy! Enjoy your weekend!

  5. Love your Love post! Sounds like you have lots going on in your life. :o)

  6. Scraps Squared looks really cool. Train dominoes! I haven’t played that in a while, but it’s fun.

  7. What fun to have your very own ball house to play in! We have an 8 year old and 4 year old coming to visit us this weekend, and I’m excited to get out the toys and play! Dominos might be involved, too! Congratulations on winning those patterns – they look fun to make.

  8. Congrats on another win!! I love the squared pattern.. I can’t wait to see what you two come up with for giraffe quilt. Aww Dominic….:)

Nice going on the pattern wins! I love the scrap square one. And I always look forward to your shares of Dominic! I just adore that you are putting leaves in the giraffes mouth as a tribute to him! Can’t wait to see progress on the baby quilt.

  10. Always fun to read these posts! Congrats on winning Leanne’s patterns; you’ll enjoy them, I think! Can’t wait to see the giraffe quilt!

Oh, I love your giraffe inspiration! Very cute. And based on your winning streak, you’d better buy a lottery ticket today!
