I Love Thursday #50 – HB Richard!
This is our 50th post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Love #1
Happy Birthday Richard! It is Sue’s nephew and our Godson, Richard’s birthday today. This is Richard and his wife, Elaine, from a vacation in 2017. He is a HUGE Batman fan, as is his Aunt Sue. We love you Richard! We can remember when you were born so well – I almost brought out some of those old pictures because you are and were so cute. Another blessing in our lives, as they have such a lovely family.
Love #2
Susan Marie! I ordered some packages of felt online from Joann Fabrics. Before I submitted the order, I asked Sue “IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE WE NEED???” Do you have a clue where this is going?? No, I don’t think so was the reply. I said we need some pink thread, so I added a spool of Gutermann “Charm” pink thread – which was out of stock so it didn’t matter if it matched or not. Anyhoo, about an hour later (!!! – AN HOUR!!) she says, Oh yeah, we need some Heat ‘n Bond Light & Heavy. I looked at her. Seriously??!! That is WHY we make a list. She said she has a list – she just doesn’t know where it is. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! And that is why I love my bestie. I placed a second order, since we found the list and there were EIGHT things on it. ♥♥ That would have qualified us for saving $10 because we spent over $50 in the two orders . . . oh well.
Did you notice the Batman theme?? Just wait – there’s more . . . same Bat time, same Bat channel . . .
Love #3
More garden yummies! We ate sweet corn, and picked fresh tomatoes and green peppers. YUM-o. I love this time of year. I meant to make some zucchini bread or cupcakes this year, but didn’t get a chance. The fresh cucumbers were fabulous this year, too, which I thought was odd because we had a draught in July. Here’s to another good summer harvest next year.
Love #4
Sweet Tweets! A fellow blogger, Kathleen at Kathleen McMusing, is an Island Batik Ambassador. On a recent post she shared a new line of fabrics being introduced with this picture. I have been thinking about this picture ever since she shared it. I find the random placing of all of the fabrics just perfect for a modern-ish quilt. What do you think of it? I think something similar to this needs to be drawn out in EQ8 (hint, hint Sue)!
Love #5
Fabric sharing! I followed a linky party link with an intriguing picture and subject. The link took me to Brooke’s Silly Mama Quilts website. I left a comment and was the winner of her giveaway. Don’t you think it is time for me to make another doll quilt or two?! I do, and send it off to A Doll Like Me.
Love #6
Dominic had a busy week following officially turning one a whole week ago! First up, this is how we climb our new slide from Grandma so early in the morning. Then we play with all the pieces of our new train learning center, especially the whistle that goes choo-choo. Next, Dominic is wondering if he has to put himself in his high chair or is mom going to help? He is ready for his pancakes, please! When we go to the pool at the YMCA, we splash and splash and try to drink the water after we say Hi to everyone we see. Finally, Inspector Dominic is on the job. Dad has passed inspection, folding the towels appropriately. Now lets go play. ~smile~
And two more pictures Bat baby because I promised there would be one more Batman reference! I think both of Sue’s nephews follow in her footsteps very well, don’t you? Carry on the tradition . . .
That’s it for this week! We hope your week is filled with many blessings. Happy Thursday! See you next week with more loves; it’s almost a year of sharing!
Our Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link for more quilting fun or in the sidebar of our website – check out what our friends are up to. Like/follow us on our Facebook page and share your likes/loves there! We love to see them. ~smile~
I always love your posts of what you love each week. Batman Forever!
Oh boy, I find list making very useful esp. when I remember to take it with me. Lovely likes, Roseanne, with the best for last…sweet Dominic.
Oh my, the memories of Batman! I crushed on Robin myself. LOL
I am so glad someone else does that…I have list everywhere…purse…front door…refrig…..car…Lol!
Lots of loves! Mmm… veggies and batiks both look delicious.
Your garden did way better than mine!
I love all the batman fans! And your garden veggies look great. I snagged a bunch of peppers and tomatoes from my mom’s garden, but she didn’t grow corn this year so I’m envious. Looks tasty!
There’s nothing better than birthdays, fresh veggies from the garden, ideas for new projects, and fabric in the mail! Plus an adorable 1 year old to play with! Looks like it was a good week, Roseanne!
losing the list! Bwaahahahaha, so like me. Lucky girl to win fabric! Dom is such a pretty baby and your godson is so handsome, looks so open and friendly.
Yup, Murphy’s Law in full force! Love the Batman theme this week! And Dominic is too stinkin’ cute!
That’s like a Murphy’s law. Place an order, think of something else you need 10 minutes later! Been there, done that. Still doing it.
