I Love Thursday #52
This is our 52nd post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.

52nd post! That is one year of finding the positive side of life and sharing it here each week. A big thank you to LeeAnna for starting this and keeping it going week after week, and to the Lord for leading me there. Here’s to another year of positives!

Cooler weather!!!!! Holy moly, I truly thought we would never get a Fall season this year. True to the calendar and the Farmer’s Almanac it arrived Saturday night at 8:54 p.m. It was a chilly 49 degrees when it arrived at our home. You will not here me complain about its arrival as it sure feels good.

Rulers! Andrea, Nicole and Grandma Janice took a painting class. Andrea made a full size ruler to hang in their house. She made a mark on it for Dominic’s one year height measurement. I think that’s just so sweet. Almost THREE FEET. Holy moly little guy. Slow down.

Dominic helped his friend Grant (remember cute little GEM and his quilt?!) celebrate his first birthday. They are just a few weeks apart in age! Grant received the coolest motorcycle for his birthday. Perhaps Dominic may need one of these?

Grant and Dominic, both one-year-old
Lest you think that our sweet boy is always sweet, his mom calls him Sassy. This is the look she received when she tried to call his attention away from the TWO garbage trucks outside their living room window. Mom! I need to keep my eyes on these trucks!
What’s a boy to do?!! ~smile~
That’s it for this week! We hope your week is filled with many blessings. Happy Thursday! See you next week with more loves, and thank you for sharing the last year with us.
Our Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link for more quilting fun or in the sidebar of our website – check out what our friends are up to. Like/follow us on our Facebook page and share your likes/loves there! We love to see them. ~smile~
The ruler is a beautiful way to record Dom’s growth. And that is one snazzy motorcycle … I can just imagine one in Dom’s future!
Hmmm…sassy…wonder which side of the family that trait was passed down from…
PS – He definitely needs that motorcycle…
I love the narrowed eye look on your grandson’s face! Our own grandson, about the same age loves to watch the binmen and their lorry as well. On the other hand, my husband, now retired gets very excited about bin day!
Hooray for a year of positives, Roseanne! Although, I suspect from reading your blog this year that you are always positive! I love that ruler – and of course, they need to keep track of Dominic’s height every year. We did that with our boys, and it is still there, out in the garage! 3 feet tall already – Dominic is a big boy! Happy Thursday!
yea for cool weather! I see the boys are into motocycles already…
Oh two little one year old boys together…how cute. And that look! And a whole year since we met at LeeAnna’s…amazing too.
Congrats on a full year of positive posts and thank you for sharing with us. We are getting cooler nights here too, but the days are still quite warm.
Love those “looks!” And yeah….I’d say a motorcycle purchase is in your future!! ha!
HOW do they pick up those ‘looks’?!! Too cute, but of course, trucks! Fall arrived here this morning, 50F when I left at 5:50 to teach yoga, brr!
No fall weather here 🙁 Dominic and Grant are too cute!
We’re having fall weather here too, finally. I actually wore a light sweater yesterday, which I love. I’m not quite ready to give up my sandals though . . .
