I Love Thursday #53
This is our 53rd post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Love #1
James Bond and fabric. What a great combination, for us anyway. We love to watch James Bond movies especially while sewing. Although sometimes it does cause large breaks and no sewing to happen because it’s a not-to-be-missed scene. Dione at Clever Chameleon sent me this photo, and I just had to share it. I say okay, anytime James!
Love #2
Zodiac Mantra! Jocelyn shared her mantra and the link on her blog last week, and I thought I should look up Sue’s and mine. Sue is a Gemini, and her little blurb said: “Hit the Pause Button – Depending on the day, Gemini can be charming and adventurous, or restless and distracted. A useful way to find a balance between these states is to repeat a mantra that will be centering and grounding, prompting you take a moment to connect to your true feelings, Edut says.”
I am a Scorpio and my mantra is Don’t Hide: “All hail the passion, loyalty and bravery of Scorpio—that is, until jealousy or manipulation rears its head. This intense sign can be inclined to feelings of paranoia and could be intimidating, so Edut’s advice is to call on a mantra that stresses transparency and allows others to see the part of you that might be sensitive.” Hmmm.
Love #3
Highchair! We had a new arrival at our house last week. It actually was sent to Dominic’s attention at our home. It’s this sweet little highchair. He would frequently eat over at our house, but wasn’t focused on eating because there are so many other things to be busy with. Now, he will know it’s time to eat and then we can play. He just needs to come over! (hint, hint Andrea and Chris!)
Love #4
Dominic had a very busy week, as usual. First, he was ready to cheer on the Cubs to win their Division. That same night he was visiting us before dad was finished with work. I brought home a paper box from work, so we enjoyed a baby-in-a-box. He warms our hearts. ♥ ♥
Then mom decided to have him try on his Halloween costume.
Doesn’t he look a little forlorn in this cute outfit? It’s a size 3T, and it might be just hair too big. Those little fingers and his sock peeking out. Adorbs.
That’s it for this week! We hope your week is filled with many blessings. Happy Thursday! See you next week with more loves. Our Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link for more quilting fun or in the sidebar of our website – check out what our friends are up to. How cute!! he is adorable.
I love your hey girl meme with Sean Connery! Usually they have Ryan Gosling (who I don’t like particularly), but Sean Connery and especially Sean Connery as James Bond has always given me a little thrill. So fun! Poor Dom- he looks so so cute as a ninja turtle, but definitely a little forlorn. I’m sure some candy will cheer him right up!
Adorable little Ninja, in a box, with a high chair! My husband was a Gemini, and oh, boy! Exciting personality. =) I’ll have to go look up my mantra. =)
He is adorable!! We are Cubs fans, way down here in South Louisiana!! Day and I got to see them play at Wrigley Field, against the Pirates!! They won! And went on to win the World Series!! What a great time! Have a great day!!
HE’s so adorable. I love little kids in costumes playing as if they haven’t a care in the world!! That’s life as it should be!
I love James Bond movies…my Dad watched them all the time. Your little ninja turtle is so cute!
You’ll have to tell Dominic I’m sorry the Cubs lost to the Rockies the other night! 🙂 Although I’m really a Rockies fan and we Coloradans are celebrating Roctober now! That looks like a great high chair and you’ll get a lot of use out of it!
Ha. The mantra says I need to just be. It’s so rare that I’m just still. Need to do more meditation! Ninja turtle! He’s adorable.
OH MY GOODNESS! That boy in his costume just has me smiling a smile that won’t stop! So SO darling! I love when you share him with us. Thank you for that!
okay, I missed the mantra post somehow… thanks for mentioning it. I’m a taurus and mine said embrace change, because we strive for security. Wowie! Change is my word of the year! And I was just evaluating how much I’ve learned about change and how it’s manifested in my life this year. Unbelievable how timely this was!!!
Hi Roseanne, just saying that my hubby looks like 007 and according to my astrological readings done many moons ago, I’m Scorpion in whatever house is energy so that’s good when you host the QAL. I’m sure Dominic is going to fill out his Ninja Turtle Costume more, Halloween is almost a month away and there’s room to wear some sweats underneath. Have a good day!
Well, that is just about the cutest little Ninja turtle! Such fun times for him and I was surprised my 14 year old grandson is talking about what he’ll be for Halloween! He is a young 14. 🙂
Thanks for the shout out Roseanne. So did the mantras mean as much to you two as mine seemed to suit me.
Meanwhile, you are racking up the quilty finishes…some beauties there!
I’m scorpio also. Dominic is just tooooo cute.
Bond. James Bond. But which Bond? Sean Connery, I presume? He’s the one I prefer. Haha. Cute post. Of course, Dominic steals the show! (Sorry, Sean)
LOL! Needed a Dominic fix this morning — Cyclops Ninja turtle tee hee!
When is Sue’s BD, I a Gemini too-I’ll have to remember to hit the pause button, LOL. Oh yes those babies love boxes-make a fort out of them.
