I Love Thursday #74
This is our 74th post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Love #1
Becoming! I just recently finished this book Becoming by Michelle Obama. It is a good read, going from her childhood through the Presidency years. It is amazing the woman she has become, and the goodness she has been able to spread. I would highly recommend it. It’s a nice insight into how her and Barack met as well as how the White House years were spent. I think of them even more fondly now.
Love #2
Crazy winter! This is the Mackinac Bridge in the UP of Michigan last Sunday. We had c.r.a.z.y. winds and they received a mere 18 inches of snow. Talk about white-out conditions! They day before they were a balmy 35 to 40. What up with the winter?!!
Love #3
Mickey Mouse! Singing the Clubhouse song, this captured both Dominic and Addison’s attention in this sweet picture. Oh, it is so hard to limit myself to just one photo each week.
So I’m not going to. Here’s one more with both of them saying Good Morning!
Happy Thursday! See you next week with more loves. Our Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link for more quilting fun or in the sidebar of our website – check out what our friends are up to. Like/follow us on our Facebook page and share your likes/loves there. We love to see them. ~smile~
The eyes and cheeks show their relationship! I’m glad no one has to drive over that bridge in the snow! Maybe in a horse and buggy, as horses usually don’t get lost!
Oh lordy are those 2 cuter and cuter every week! Been sick and finally got to email and went straight to this…better than any medicine…as for the Becoming review, thanks for letting me know! It’s been sitting here waiting to be read for a while now…time to start then!
her widdle hand on his shoulder… adorable meter went off the track! Wonder what she thought about the Mouse right there.
Love Michele Obama, miss seeing her.
I’m not much of a biography reader but the positive enthusiasm I’ve heard from readers like yourself, has me thinking about reading it . Wow, that’s some crazy weather your having. Your darlings are so cute that I say share as many photos as you want. 🙂
That last picture, so cute! I’ve heard good things about her book but have yet to get around to reading it. Winter needs to end…just a few more weeks, right? I hope! I also hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Haven’t read Michelle Obama’s book but so admire her class. Those kids are about as cute as they come. I’ve been to Makinaw Island but definitely NOT when it was THAT cold! Can’t wait for the weekend! Mary
We in Canada loved the Obamas and think they served with such dignity and grace. Meanwhile, you really do have twice the cuteness going on there these days. Enjoy every minute which I know you do.
The weather is crazy our way too and we are just wishing and hoping for spring to bless us soon!!
We had crazy blowing wind here, too. Took down a tree (that luckily missed both the road and the powerlines to the house). Quite the weather, and it’s not even March yet.
I’m with you…winter can go somewhere else. Didn’t that groundhog say winter was over!!@@?? The kids are lovely and just make my day when I see those photos. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! Addison is growing so quickly! Both of those cuties made my day!
I also read the book. I thought it was great. It was interesting to learn more of their personal lives not just what we saw when they were in the White House. I din’t know much about them before.
I’m on line at the library waiting for Michelle’s book. I am so looking forward to reading it. Sun shining here today after much crazy winter winds. I have spring fever for sure. Thanks for the cutie pics!
Love your pics of the little ones!
Winter can leave any time now!!! Honestly … SW British Columbia has had the coldest Feb on record … most days below freezing! Usually they are doing daffodil counts before now & I don’t think they’ve started !
Happy Quilting! 🙂
I like Thursdays so I have decided to play along and borrowed your Snoopy image. My daughter and I were talking about that book yesterday as she is reading it and enjoying it. May have to look for a copy … or read hers next time I visit, My grand-darling loves Mickey and Minnie. Thanks for sharing … <3 Pat
The picture of the bridge makes me cold. LOL Cute cute cute kiddos!
Eek, that bridge! Never going over that thing.
Whoa…definitely a stay inside day with that kind of weather. Those grandbabies are so sweet…I say the more photos the better!
Yikes, I cannot imagine driving that bridge in rowdy winter weather; not surprised it was closed! Those little faces smiling is a great way to start the day!
Aww…Addison is growing nicely. They are both so adorable. That is an amazing picture of the Mackinac Bridge — this winter has been awful almost everywhere. Happy Thursday my friend ♥♥
I loved Michelle Obama’s book, too – so glad I read it! I think it’s been a crazy winter all around the country, and I’m looking forward to the end, although that may be wishful thinking. I bet Dominic is good entertainment for his little sister! Happy Thursday, Roseanne!
