I Love Thursday #81
This is our 81st post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Freak snowstorm! I know we weren’t the only one impacted by Sunday’s storm. I had to snap this picture when it first started just after 9am. It was snowing like a banshee but it’s hard to capture in a photo and we ended up with over 7 inches. One city in Wisconsin (Eau Claire) has set a record with this last snowstorm with 97.5 inches for the season. We have nothing to complain about as we’re no where near that. But come on Spring!
Some cactus love! I have had to fill in at one of our school offices because of an emergency. My boss gave me this cute little cactus and a card that said “We can’t spell gratit_de without U.” I thought that was so sweet.
Birthday in a bag! Our eighth grade students pick a project each year to focus on a service task. This year they are collecting items for a birthday in a bag, including a cake mix, frosting and candle. They are aiming for 150 bags to donate to Chicago Public School children. I ordered a bunch of Happy Birthday pencils to be added to the donation bags. A useful yet fun item, I hope they are enjoyed by each special birthday person.
Dominic and Addison always have a good week, and this last one was no different. Dominic shows mom how he can hold Elmo with no hands. I know, he’s quite talented. Next we have them ‘playing’ together. Of course in the next moment, Dominic had the toy and Addison was just watching. Not to worry, she’ll get him back soon enough.
Then Sweet Girl proclaims her love for Daddy. We do suspect she is definitely a Daddy’s Girl as he can always calm her down. And finally, this is how we chill together in the chair for a bit. A wee small bit because Sweet Boy has to get moving. Things to do, places to go, much to learn. ~smile~
