I Really LOVE Thursday #36 – HB Susie Q
This is our 36th post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Don’t forget to vote for your favorite quilt pattern for our second no-pressure sew along! It is fairly close on the voting and we all know how each vote can make a difference.
My bestie! It is her birthday today so I want to wish Sue a very Happy Birthday! We are going out for dinner tonight. Unfortunately, I will be a bit later getting home though because it’s the last day of school. There’ll be a delay getting through the car line as the students dismiss when I leave for the day. I’m going to share one of my favorite pictures of her as Dr. Princess Batgirl Auntie Sue, PhD with an honorary LPN degree. This is her with her mom, Jeanette. Happy Birthday Sue – I wish you many, many blessings and a fabulous year ahead!
Toys for Dominic! I know you may be surprised by this, but we only have one small basket of toys for Dominic. There are mostly soft, squishy toys like his beloved stuffed Elmo. Gotta love a boy and his bestie, Elmo. That needs to be qualified with the word YET. I have been holding back, biding my time, waiting for my chance to go NUTS. I think it’s just about time. Zooming past nine months, we can start showing him colors and so many other things. He is advanced, you know, so we have to encourage that. Anyway, there is a point to this rambling! A teacher at school was giving this bag of colorful teddy bears (reminds me of Dione!) and a HUGE die. I thought to myself, hey Dominic could throw this die and we could count that number of yellow bears, etc. ~smile~
Quote from a friend! Barbara Esposito, the creator of the A Snowball’s Chance tutorial that was shared recently has become a new friend. She was nice enough to offer to take the debacle Postcard pillow shams off my hands. What a great friend! She also sent me a great quote that is so worthy of sharing by Debi Payne Designs. “Imperfection is a form of Freedom.” That fits many situations or interpretations, don’t you think?
Cinderella! We have two different princess calendars, and just as May was turned to reveal June I noticed this wonderful quote from Cinderella. I thought it was a good one and worthy of sharing.
Dominic and I got to spend some quality time outside rocking recently. I’m a huge fan of spending time with that sweet boy any way I can. We listened to the birdies, watched the cars go by, and watched Dad use a wheelbarrow. Hey wait, maybe a certain boy might RIDE in that wheelbarrow some day soon?!
He had to have his hood up because there was a little cool breeze. We don’t want to get an earache do we?!
That’s it for this week! We hope your week is filled with many blessings. Happy Thursday!
