      Hi Dione,
Thanks so much! He is over tonight, enjoying his quilt. I appreciate your nice comment and visit so much. ~smile~ Roseanne

  2. What a darling idea! I love how the X pattern on the back makes it look like baseball diamonds with the ball in each.

      Hi Summer,
That was a complete fluke that just worked out for the best. Or I could say I planned it but that would not be true. Thanks so much for visiting and commenting. Come again! ~smile~ Roseanne

How fun! The baseballs are perfect! Congrats on a whimsical finish.

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Kate,
Thanks so much! His parents have a baseball rivalry going on between the Cubs and Brewers and he’s the tie breaker. That seemed like the only theme we could consider. ~smile~ Roseanne

  4. What a great idea! And I love your road trip to buy fabric, lol.
I do like mixing embroidery with quilting!

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Debra,
Those road trips are often more about chatting and going out for lunch . . . with a little bit of quilting shopping thrown in for fun. This embroidery seemed to match just perfectly with this quilt. Thank you so much for your visit and nice comment. ~smile~ Roseanne

That is some of the most adorable quilting I’ve ever seen! How creative! Can’t wait to see baby-on photos!

    • Roseanne says:

Hi! Thanks so much – it was really fun to make and pretty darn easy, too. The baby is over today – I’m off for Columbus Day, so I already have a few photos to share. ~smile~ Roseanne

  6. What a fun quilt! Have fun snuggling your little guy!

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Diann!
Thanks so much! He was here last night but was not feeling up to having his picture taken. Next time. ~smile~ Roseanne

  7. It is even prettier now and I can’t wait to see Dom on it. This is going to be one pampered young man…and that is wonderful. When my first son was born in June I made him a skunk costume for Halloween. He was so cute (that was 49 years ago) and the other two that followed him wore the skunk outfit for their first Halloweens.

    • Roseanne says:

Aww, that sounds SO cute! I can’t share what they want Dominic to be for Halloween – can’t spoil their surprise . . . but I will certainly share on the day of or shortly thereafter. Yeah, I admit it – I am going to spoil the heck out of him! And any siblings that come along. ~smile~ Roseanne

  8. Andrea says:

That cute is so adorable. And what a fun way to quilt those baseballs onto the quilt rather than just stitching them to the top of the blocks. It looks fantastic!

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Andrea!
Thank you so much for your nice comments and visit. It was fun and fairly quick to do. I will definitely try it again. ~smile~ Roseanne

  9. Kathryn says:

    Love it, awesome finish.

  10. Very cute quilt. The baseball quilting is ingenious! Where did you get the laser light?

  11. Jayne says:

The baseballs are so cute! Love the quilting on them! Some little boy is going to love this one!

    • Roseanne says:

Hi Jayne! I sure hope so – his name is Dominic and he is just over four weeks old. I’m going to nab a picture of him with it on Friday. ~smile~ Roseanne
