It is true. Thursday is my favorite day of the week. There are many reasons for the love of Thursdays. First, it is almost Friday, and it used to be the night when we enjoyed a glass of wine. Secondly, I usually stay up a bit later on Thursday night – there is football after all – and who cares if I am a bit tired the next day. Finally, during the summer I take Fridays off so Thursdays become my Friday for the work week. I recently found a fellow blogger, LeeAnna at Not Afraid of Color, who celebrates all of her ‘likes’ for the week on Thursday. So, while her post may actually have a different meaning than mine we certainly share the same sentiment. Rather than call this my ‘likes’ I’m going to call them my ‘loves’ just to mix it up a bit.
Don’t you think that is a great idea?! We have so many blessings each and every day. I will try to keep this slightly quilting related and include some of those. Maybe you’d like to join us, and link up with LeeAnna? Or at least check on some of her and her friends likes – they will make you ~smile~.
Obviously, one of my first loves is Dominic. This allows me to share (another) picture of the cutie pie. I mean, come on. Batman baby?!! How adorbs is this:
He’s getting a little bit more filled out, but his abs are not quite up to Batman’s standards yet. Be still my heart. ~smile~
Fall weather. Oh, these 70ish degree days are just glorious. We had a whole week of humid 90s (!!) at the end of September. Where the heck did that come from? We should not need the a/c at that time of year in Wisconsin. I guess it is good for the apple crop though . . . so that’s a good thing.
I love being with good friends and going on a self-designed shop hop. I spent time with Sue and Carol and we had a great time. I found this pattern called I Love Dirt by Karen Bennett and had to buy it for two reasons. First of all, I have to make it because it is cute and Batman baby will ‘need’ it. Secondly, I thought of this list and it has Love in the title!
I am reading a new book by an author I really like named Harlan Coben called Don’t Let Go. I do love to read – almost as much as I love to sew or cross stitch.
I guess that’s it for my first Thursday post. I need to adjust my thinking to keep track of all the things during the week I’m thankful for and love. ~smile~
