Ten blocks – Grandma’s Kitchen (GK) Quilt Along
We’ve made ten blocks in Pat Sloan’s Grandma’s Kitchen (GK) quilt along. We are almost half finished! We will finish all the blocks right before Thanksgiving as a mystery lap size quilt. Just in time to finish up for snuggle season, or maybe even a Christmas gift.
GK Block #1 – The Kitchen Table and #2 – Sticky Buns
My favorite block is still #1
GK Block #3 – Key Holder and #4 – Half a Modern (Kitchen)
I enjoy both of these blocks, especially the Half a Modern block.
GK Block #5 – Glasses and Cups and #6 – Wash Day
The Wash Day block is the first 10″ block. I will be interested to see the setting for all of these blocks.
GK Block #7 – oh my Stars and #8 – Grandma’s Apron
The Grandma’s Apron block is another 10″ block.
GK Block #9 – the Kitchen Window and #10 – Recipe Box
I am pretty sure this quilt will NOT be a gift. I foresee this quilt having a spot of honor on the living room couch and it being used frequently. Our friend Ellen suggested that the Kitchen Window block needs something filled in the window panes – we agree. We’ll do something in there when we quilt it! Maybe some special embroidery of some sort. ~smile~
You can still join in the quilt along! It’s not too late. The link above takes you to the website where you will find the patterns for all the released blocks, and where the remaining 15 blocks will be found.
Our Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link for more quilting fun – you can check out what our friends are up to. Like/follow us on our Facebook page and share your GK blocks there! We would love to see them. ~smile~
