To-Do #52+22 Weekly Update
This is our 74th edition of our weekly to-do list. We share this post on Beth’s Cooking Up Quilts website on Mondays, and Christine’s Stitch All the Things website on Tuesdays. Check it out as other friends post their to-do lists as well! ~smile~
To-Do for the week of September 3rd through 9th:
- Finish quilting Pixel Heart – √ done
- Sew the remaining three blocks in Up From Here – √ done
- Complete the next step in Fireburst – √ done
The Pixel Heart quilt is all finished including the binding. I’ll share a post about all the details later this week but here is a sneak peak. Our friend Paty will give this quilt to a little girl named Nora who recently lost her mom.
Up From Here is nearly a flimsy! At least the four blocks are all pieced, but now we need to decide on a layout. That’s where you come in! Which one would you pick??
First we arranged the squares with all the brown pieces in the center. They form a plus sign reminiscent of the Red Cross symbol. Next, we put all the brown pieces in each corner. That formed a green frame surrounding a background square shape. Finally, we matched the layout of the pattern in the larger picture. Which would be your choice?
The Madd Quilter, Tish’s Fireburst QAL sneaks up on me at the beginning of each month! At the end of August, I was saying it’s time for the next step . . . and then come September 1st I forget to go and get the instructions. I need to add an alarm in my phone! Hmm, that’s a great idea! The first photo is work in progress shared on IG Sunday morning, while the second one is after the blocks are complete. How is this going to go together?!!
For our Elm Street Quilts’ September OMG we are going to quilt and bind I Wish You A Merry! Nothing’s been done so far.
To-Do September 10th through 16th:
- Sew Rainy Day rows together
- Complete Jigsaw appliquéd pieces
- Finish quilting the last GK runner
