To-Do #52+23 Weekly Update
This is our 75th edition of our weekly to-do list. We share this post on Beth’s Cooking Up Quilts website on Mondays, and Christine’s Stitch All the Things website on Tuesdays. Check it out as other friends post their to-do lists as well! ~smile~
To-Do for the week of September 10th through 16th:
- Sew Rainy Days (Spiral #2) rows together – √ done
- Complete Jigsaw appliquéd pieces – √ done
- Finish quilting the last GK runner – √ done
This quilt is made completely from a jelly roll. Our second quilt using the pattern called 16-Patch Framed 4-Patch quilt, we are thinking of adding borders. Without borders, it finishes at 40″ by 57″. I would like to make it larger and more of an adult-size throw. We have two yards of coordinating fabric that was going to be used as a backing. Now we’ll use that as two borders, with a scrappy border made from the leftover jellyroll strips. A generous finished size, the added borders will make it approximately 58″ x 75″.
The Jigsaw quilt pieces are all appliquéd. With those all complete, the quilt rows can be sewn together. Here are two blocks from the eighth row:
Yes, indeed the last GK table runner is completely quilted and bound. This also completes another UFO item for our PHD from Quilting Gail. Chhh-check! √√ I’ll share all the details later this week, on Friday. There may have been some stippling involved.
For our Elm Street Quilts’ September OMG we are going to quilt and bind I Wish You A Merry! Nothing’s been done so far . . . we have to change that to meet the goal!
To-Do September 17th through 23rd:
- Start quilting this month OMG!
- Add borders to Rainy Days
- Sew Jigsaw Puzzle rows together
- Determine layout for the Quiet Book
