To-Do #52+3 Weekly Update – May OMG
This is our 55th edition of our weekly to-do list. We share this post on Beth’s Cooking Up Quilts website each Monday, and Christine’s Stitch All the Things website on Tuesdays. Check them out! ~smile~
To-Do for the week April 23rd through 29th:
- Finish quilt GK runner #2 – √ done
- Work on 2nd row of t-shirts – √ done
- Start sewing 16-patches for Spiral – √ done
- Bind Postcard – √ done
The second table runner from five blocks from last year’s Grandma’s Kitchen QAL is complete. Ten blocks to go, and we’re going to turn those into one large table topper for our own dinette table. I sure hope we saved my favorite blocks!
We have been working on the t-shirt quilt for Pat on the down low, and not sharing many details thus far. Here is a shot of the first three rows together!
Several of the 16-patch blocks have been sewn together. They have not been matched up with one of the 4-patch block mates because they need to be on the design wall. The design wall is mighty full with a certain little boy’s I Spy quilt.
Oh yes indeed, Postcard is all finished and bound. But you’re not seeing it here today! Seriously, it is not taking fourth place in a weekly highlight. Oh no, it deserves its own post . . . and I still have to finish the pillow shams and get a new bed skirt. So, enjoy this little peek at the binding being sewn on.
A few rows of I Spy have been snuck in between the other projects. You know, as leader/enders plus it IS for Dominic so it has to be a priority.
May OMG Goal:
Our Elm Street Quilts May OMG goal is to quilt and bind the Evening Star quilt. This is also on our PHD list of UFOs. The poor thing has been languishing away since November.
To-Do April 30th through May 6th:
- Sew squares together for two pillow shams for Postcard
- Assemble another row for t-shirts
- Determine layout for table topper
- Sew another row for I Spy
- Sew five more 16-patch blocks
We wish you a week filled with many blessings and good sewing/quilting vibes!
