To-Do #52+39 Weekly Recap Update
To-Do for the week of December 31st through January 6th:
- Start a new hand quilting project for Sue – √ done
- Make January Bee Hive blocks for Jan – √ done
- Finish the binding on the DrEAMi Dr. Seuss quilt – √ done
I shared an update last Friday in January 2019 OMG – Fresh Start and truthfully not much has changed since then. Five more nine-patch blocks are on the wall, but it just wasn’t enough for a new photo! We were a little busy this weekend. Perhaps a Baby Girl made an appearance – more about that later this week. At any rate, very little sewing was accomplished. Oh well!
We joined our very first Bee Hive group, and started on a block called Tic Tac Toe. Here is the layout we came up with for one of the blocks. I’ll share a post about all the details tomorrow.
Our Dr. Seuss quilt is all complete and I shared the details in our DrEAMi project complete post. It’s hard to believe that just last Sunday the binding wasn’t complete since I have listed and SOLD this quilt already in our Etsy shop. How amazing is that?!
This month we have made our monthly goal with Patty at Elm Street Quilts the quilt mentioned in to-do #1. This quilt originally had the name of Boy Dot – I know, not very descriptive. We have received such nice comments referring to it as a color wave (our first layout like that) so it has been renamed to Spring Wave. We would like to get it made into a quilt top and layered for hand quilting by Sue.
To-Do for the week of January 7th through 13th
- Finish up a birth announcement
- Make the rest of the nine-patch blocks for Spring Wave
- Make a quilting plan for some helping-a-friend-quilting
- Continue appliquéing the Quiet Book
