To-Do #52+48 Weekly Recap Update
This is our 100th (!!) edition of our weekly to-do list. We share this post on Beth’s Cooking Up Quilts and at Becca’s What I Made Monday website on Mondays, and Christine’s Stitch All the Things website on Tuesdays. Check out what our friends are sharing!
To-Do for the week of March 4th through 10th:
- Borders for the Dumbo baby quilt – still not on
- Bee Hive blocks for Mary – √ done
Did you notice that March has FIVE whole weekends?! How cool is that. To me, that means there is five weekends to spend with the littles, and five weekends to get our March OMG project complete. That is also a fancy lead-in to me not doing a thing with Dumbo. I did hold a baby girl for a few hours Friday night and Sunday morning, and bored her to
tears sleep. No crying was involved and no small babies were harmed, but no sewing ensued.
It is thrilling to say that I got a start on Mary’s block for our IG Honey Bee Hive group. This is my first attempt at paper piecing in eons. Finding the fabric in the right colors and then getting them sized appropriately were the hardest parts. Here is one quarter of the first block. The rough size is 6.5″ and when joined with three other quarters, the whole block will end up at 12″ finished. Mary will mix up all the pieces she receives, so we have been asked to leave the papers on the back.
Our March goal with Patty at Elm Street Quilts is to complete a Dumbo baby quilt for a coworker. At some point I am going to start working on this!
To-Do for the week of March 11th through March 17th
- Get those borders on Dumbo – seriously!
- Beats the heck out of me – we both don’t feel like sewing lately
