We had a productive week – did you? Well, it seemed productive although nothing is completely off the list. Here is last week’s list along with this week’s Tuesday To-Do list:
To-Do Tuesday from April 25th:
- Continue sewing strips together for blue/gray quilt
Continue sewing strips together for 16-patch blocks- Add sashing to ABC blocks

- Start quilting 16-patch baby quilt
- Add sashing to ABC blocks

Our new list is still much shorter than our first edition of to-do Tuesday. The blue/gray quilt is another queen size quilt and we have a few blocks made. Our fabrics are from Moda Fabrics called Ombre Graphite and Shirbori, and the pattern is called Jimmy John (more info in this article as well as a link to the pattern). Our header picture shows four blocks together – some of the fabrics look tie dyed don’t they?! Here is a shot of four strips being ironed before adding the gray strip. I love the ones that look zebra stripe-ish:

All the blocks are finished for the 16-patch and framed 4-patch quilt and all rows together are together too! I’m starting to think about how to quilt it. I really think I am going to try the spiral quilting on this quilt instead of the Finding Nemo quilt (discussed here). I have a template that I would like to use in the border of the FM quilt and think the spiral might be nice on this 16-patch quilt. What do you think? Here are a few pictures of this baby quilt so far:
And a few close ups of the blocks:
It sure is bright and colorful!

Hanging my head . . I still haven’t started adding the sashing to each letter. It is “hanging” out on the project wall along with the second set of letters, waiting not-so-patiently for their turn to be worked on. I would remove them from the list, but I don’t want them to be off my radar and I do want to get them finished.

I’ll give you an update on these projects next Tuesday, May 9th. I’m linking up with To-Do- Tuesdays, Linky Tuesday, WOW Wednesdays, and Finished or Not Friday.
I just love that quilt top. Those fabrics are so colorful! Any progress is still progress… No head hanging needed!
Hi Christine! Thanks for the encouraging words. ~smile~ I will be reporting tomorrow that quilt is finished – I am just about done with the binding and will share an update later this week if I can get some good photos. I love how it turned out!
The 16 patch and framed 4 patch looks amazing!
Hi Amy! Thanks so much – it went together really quickly when I finally got down to business. I would say within 2 hours I had all the blocks and rows sewed together. Now to quilt it! ~smile~ Roseanne
Nice bright and cheery 16 patch! No hanging head necessary. I have one project that I just keep plugging along on, while others I wiz through.
It is such an easy project that always seems to get pushed to the side!
