We were able to find the fabric for the elephant baby quilt in the design draft I shared with you last Friday. We have a date for the baby shower now (July 29th) so we need to get busy sewing. That date will be here before you know it . . . and sewing/quilting does take a little bit of time. I will share the fabric we found during our latest road trip to Beaver Dam, etc.

The blue/gray quilt had very little progress made on it last week. A few strip sets were sewn together but that’s about it. The picture in the header is the same one as last week. Maybe it will receive more attention . . . ~smile~ The ABC quilts are still hanging out on the design wall. The most attention they receive is when I walk past them to go to my bedroom or to the sewing room. HAHA I do smile at them every time I walk past though.

New to the list is a Cubs-themed queen size quilt. Our nephew called Sue and requested his third quilt – one for his new queen-size bed. His previous quilts represented the Green Bay Packers and Michael Jordan. He wants not only the C but the cub bears in the center appliqué, and is willing to help pick out the fabrics needed. So this is making its initial appearance on the list but I don’t expect any work to be devoted to it for a few weeks. He really surprised me with the request!

I’ll give you an update on these projects next Tuesday, May 9th. I’m linking up with To-Do- Tuesdays, Linky Tuesday, WOW Wednesdays, Midweek Makers and Finished or Not Friday.
Details, in photos please! You have a lot going on and a sneak peak would be nice! 😊
HAHA – the post is coming out on Friday morning . . . can you wait??
Lots to do – thanks for sharing on Midweek Makers!
My pleasure! I love seeing what others are working on. I find it very inspiring ~smile~

Yay for not only getting the quilting done, but also putting the binding on! Woo Hoo!!! Sounds like some busy sewing is ahead, and I can’t wait to see the progress on the elephant quilt and the blue/grey quilt. I made a customer a Cubs project bag a couple of months ago, so I’m excited to see how that quilt comes along with the appliqued bears! Happy Sewing!
Hi Christine! Thanks for all the kind words of encouragement. At some point I’m going to make that boy (really a man now) send us a photo of his Green Bay and Michael Jordan quilt ~smile~ It will be interesting but the colors will have to be as authentic as we can find them. He’s a HUGE fan!
