To-Do Tuesday Linky #27 & Weekly Progress Update
Join us for the 27th linky party post and the 147th edition of the weekly to-do list. Thanks to everyone who linked up with us last week. “Contentment is a list with half of it crossed off,” wrote Gladys Taber.
To-Do for the week of February 4th through 10th:
- Layer the February OMG project – √ done
- Make the February aqua block – √ done
- Project Quilting 11.3 challenge – √ done
To-Do #1
The first task toward completing our February OMG project was to get it layered and ready for quilting. For that task, we use our kitchen island. It is large enough to host most quilts comfortably and it allows me to iron the backing and batting to ensure smoothness.
To-Do #2
All the details about the pretty February color block were shared last week, but I am happy to share another photo today. I foresee another sampler quilt in our near future.
The February and January color blocks so far.
To-Do #3
The Project Quilting challenge is in the eleventh season, and we are playing along. Challenge 11.3 or Put a Heart On It was released on Sunday. Our heart-inspired door hanging was shared last Friday, well within the parameters of the challenge to make something in a week. Not one single visitor to our home said a peep about the new offering. Geez – they’re getting complacent, I guess.
February OMG
Thank you to Patty’s at Elm Street Quilts and her linky party which opened on the first. See item #1 above to see the backing and the layered quilt top that we plan to quilt this month.
To-Do for the week of February 11th through 17th:
- Work on Pieces From the Past block #2 released on 13th
- Start quilting OMG – this month is whipping by already!
- New t-shirt quilt project – assess the t-shirts
Here is the linkup and just a few easy rules to follow:
- Share your post or Instagram photo in the linky tool (but don’t share a link to your own linky party or giveaway)
- Please point your readers back here with a text link or use the button from the right sidebar
- Also, please visit and comment on other participants’ messages as time allows
You will find the link-ups displayed on a separate screen. I hope you check them out and/or add your own link!
The Linky Parties we join can be found by clicking the link above or along the sidebar on our website for more quilting fun – check out what our friends are up to. Like/follow us on our Facebook page and you can share your photos of what you’re working on. We would love to see them!
You might have one or two good ideas in there. LOL Or ALL of them!
That is a sweet door hanging. You are moving along on all your goals. I think you do have another sampler quilt in the making! I pulled out an old BOM, the blocks are done, and it might show up on a OMG this year to complete. Keep Stitching, Girls!
Hi Roseanne, You did a great job on your to-do list last week. Congrats. Good luck with your list this week 🙂
I had not thought to use my kitchen island to lay out quilts. I have cut there a few times but that is all.
Thanks for the weekly linky to do!
Hello Roseanne, You accomplished a lot this past week. I find it hard to believe that no one noticed the fabulous heart wall hanging. It is such a “hearty” welcome! Your color blocks are going to be a fantastic quilt at the end of the year. I almost forgot that I need to take pictures and figure out when and where to post. Your new list looks like you have a lot of fun work ahead of you this week. Have a blast working on each one!
Yay for meeting your weekly goals! I know you will hit all your marks this week too.
all of your projects look great -l good thing those kitchen islands/counters come in handy for more than cooking!
Your kitchen island sounds very handy, Roseanne! Do you spray or pin baste? Thanks, as always for hosting the Tuesday link-up!
I would’ve noticed your cheery hearts!! Good luck on the to-do’s and thanks again for hosting. It’s got me going strong!
Off to write my post soon. You had a good week!
I love the idea of using your kitchen island to baste and press the backing/batting. How big is the island? And how could your guests not notice/comment on that bright and cheerful heart wall hanging!? Maybe they were focusing on some adorable and energetic children?!? Have a great day, Mary.
You had a great week. Love your valentine themed Challenge 11.3 project, very appropriate for both the challenge and the season. Good luck with this week’s to do list.
Great to-do list, I love your hearts quilt!
We have similar goals for OMG this month. I got mine layered too. I use my table and just move it up and down and side to side. Never done it on the floor and certainly not now at my age. All the best with the quilting.
