Dominic looks tall and long-legged for a 2 year old. In his picture of running in the wind, he seems to have a nice long stride, too.

  2. I also like the wavy quilting pattern for Rainbow Ripples. It’s one of my favorite quilting looks. Of course your waves will be more consistent than any of the wavy quilting I’ve ever done! Have a great day! Mary

    Birthdays! Fun! Happy Birthday, Dominic!
I joined your ripping-out-party this week. Ha ha! Hexies! I liking your curvy lines for your Rainbow quilt, if you want my opinion. 🙂

Belated Happy Birthday to Dominic. Not surprised he would smile throughout – he has a LOT to smile about, not the least of which is that awesome cake!

Great birthday pics! Thank you for posting them! Looking forward to the finished rainbow ripples as well…

Glad the boy had a happy day!!! Hope your week is getting back to school year normal soon!

Yum!! Birthday Cake. He was such a great little guy to sit for photos with that cake staring him in the face. Love the way he counts and recites the alphabet. Brave to pull out all that quilting. Since it was with a walking foot, it was probably easier than if it had been free motion quilted. My stitches are not so even on the FMQ.

  8. Dominic is all legs!
I liked seeing your trials on how to quilt the Rainbow Ripples – but aarg! that you had to rip out your first attempts!

  9. Jocelyn Thurston says:

Two already. Happy birthday to Dominic. Thanks for that link too!

  10. What fun to celebrate with Dominic; his smiles make it all worthwhile! Oh man, ripping out all that?!? Good thing you could take turns! It’s going to turn out great, though, whatever you choose!

  11. Kathleen McCormick says:

Good luck on Rainbow Ripple –
I admire you and Sue for taking out those stitches. You’ll be happier in the end.

  12. Happy Birthday to Dominic! That cake looks fun – glad Dominic enjoyed it all! Thanks for sharing your pattern and templates for Rainbow Ripples, too. Good luck with your quilting! Hope you’re having a great beginning to your week, Roseanne!

  13. Sounds like Dominic’s party was a huge success! Lucky young man — he’s such a cutie ♥♥ Thanks for sharing the pattern and templates — I’m hoping to give curved piecing another try 🙂
