Quilt looks great – I like the simple quilting. Cute fabric on those masks too!

  2. Hi Roseanne,
Your list seems very doable! I love your idea of embroidering the eyes of the snowman! 🙂 Those a cute eyes!

  3. I’m so glad you shared another peek at Iris Ann’s quilt. That snowman runner is looking so intriguing. Can’t wait to see it progressing along. I do enjoy the way you keep us informed with peaks as you go

Montana has a mandatory mask requirement, and we are so pleased about that! Clever choice to use t-shirt fabric in place of the elastic. I think we have all learned how uncomfortable that can be when worn for long periods! Enjoy the rest of your week!

  5. Yay for quilting up Iris Ann’s! The snowman is looking cute. I’m all about staying ahead of schedule–I just wish it happened more often.

That snowman runner is so cute – but I’m partial to snow people! You’ve been quite successful with your lists! Congratulations!

  9. You have been busy this week! Love the fabrics you used for your masks. I’ve been making a few more too, just for family or friends. Can’t wait to see the snowmen!

Hello Roseanne, What a fabulous idea of using t-shirt strips for the mask straps! I have only made a total of two masks and used elastic, I will have to make a couple more today and use your idea! Your quilting choice on the HRT’s quilt was an excellent choice it enhances the blocks and just adds to the beauty of the quilt! Just looking at the Snowman makes me ready for winter and those cooler temperatures and fun quilt projects you have shared. I look forward to seeing this project as it is being put together! Thank you for sharing and have a splendid day!

That decorative stitch looks great for the snowman’s eyes! Making masks in sports team fabric and other novelty prints is a great idea, since team spirit might persuade someone to wear a mask who might otherwise be disinclined. I had thought about making red “MAGA” masks and blue “BIDEN2020” masks for that reason, but changed my mind after my husband said that might cause fistfights in the grocery store!!

  12. Sherrie says:

    Hi,
The baby quilt is awesome! Have a great day!

  13. Rochelle Summers says:

Great job on the masks. It is so nice to see people wearing their home made masks rather than the disposables (which are an environmental problem). I still love the colors in the the baby quilt. And I can’t wait to see the whole snowman tablerunner…it’s looking cute and I might want to get the pattern to make one too. Have a great week.

  14. Denise says:

I made a few masks myself Sunday evening for a one of my drivers who is also an EMT on an ambulance. I haven’t tried the tshirt ties, hmm perhaps the next I make. How long did you cut them? Congrats on your goals and good luck on the new. Thank you for the linky party. Still loving the quilting on baby Iris’s quilt.

  15. Great masks! I think I need a San Francisco Giants mask! I’m sure I could find some fabric on Etsy. The embroidery stitch for the snowman’s eyes is perfect! Have a great day, Mary.

  16. Vicki in MN says:

We too have masked up long ago. MN is no a required mask state. I think it is a good idea. You have had a pretty good sewing week. Anxious to see your next snowman runners, new pattern?

  17. Sharon says:

More masks! Cute ones too. I finally made some with elastic as requested by a few family members. I’ve been making masks with ties. But I could not find round elastic, used 1/8″. I like your idea of using t-shirt fabric.
I like that snowman’s crooked smile!

  18. I need to make more masks and will be so grateful when more people wear them, but sure am for those that do. The quilting is lovely on he quilt and the snowman may send the heat away. We have one more day in this wave; I won’t miss it. Good luck with you week. It will be fun to see your OMG….

  19. I know what you mean about having been ‘masked persons’ since the beginning…us too. I’m impressed with your new set of 13!!!!!
    Stay masked and safe!

  20. You made some pretty masks, Roseanne and Sue! We might as well have ones we “enjoy” wearing, right?! 🙂 Have fun working on your list this week!

  21. Kate Swallows says:

Masks just seem to keep sneaking into my stitching line up. But it does seem like we are going to be wearing them for a while, best to have fun ones and fashion statement ones. Congrats on all the progress with your to do lists. I wasn’t a big believer in to do lists, but I’m finding that making one does help me focus more, well at least till I get to the quilty stuff that’s my least favorite. Have a great week.

  22. nanamickie says:

I think you have the right idea working on that snowman in this heat. Maybe I would feel cooler in the attic if I did that kind of project–LOL! I love Iris Ann’s quilt and those masks will be appreciated I’m sure! Have a great week!
