3 Dudes Quilting, Phoenix, AZ
Our last store in the Phoenix area was 3 Dudes Quilting, and here is their website

Giggling Gecko Designs
www.3dudesquilting.com. (Editor’s note: this store closed in 2018 and their website no longer works.) It was very busy with many customers and a class in session. They have a huge selection of fabric and a storefront of windows that on a sunny day would have been lovely. Unfortunately, we enjoyed rain for our visit. There are many finished items on the walls to tempt you.
We found, unique to this shop, local designer patterns that are offered for sale. This is the only store that offered any, that we noticed. We snapped up two pre-quilted coloring panels by Giggling Gecko Designs in Mesa, AZ. One is a Cement Truck and the other a Dump Truck. Just look how cute they are for a certain little two-year-old named Franklin. After they are colored they can be framed in an 8×10 frame. Another option would be to include them in a quilt or make into wall hangings like pictured here.
The other fun item we found is the Connector Playmat called At The Harbor by Northcott Fabrics with more information found here: (http://www.northcott.net/product-detail.aspx?colid=959&colorid=1528%20&fbid=99)
I found the idea of this playmat to be fun, and Northcott Fabrics has a few other varieties as well. I’ll share more information about this project as it comes to fruition in a later post. I would have had fun as a child driving my ‘car’ around town, stopping at the beach and visiting the shops found on this playmat. How about you?
