Birth Announcement for a Sweet Girl
Baby Girl finally decided to grace us with her presence, as was shared earlier this month. George the giraffe quilt was finished well before she was born since we expected her sometime in December. You just never know when a baby might come . . . so it was ready and waiting for her really early. We started a birth announcement at the same time, using some of the same fabrics. Here is the shell that was all ready before Thanksgiving.
Birth Details Added
Once she was here and home and FINE, we could think about a little birth announcement. Front-facing George was added, and Sue hand embroidered all the sweet details.
Once it was layered and some little tabs quickly sewn, some straight line quilting ensued. Add a binding and ta-da! We just happened to be babysitting so we could hang it in her room and take a photo.
We made a wish . . . and you came true! Truer words were never spoken. We love you sweet girl, Addison Brooke. ♥ ♥ As a fun side note, Michelle at From Bolt to Beauty was the most accurate delivery-date guesser! Nice job Michelle, although I know Andrea wished that one of those December delivery-date guessers had been most accurate. HAHA!
