Blue Gray Queen Size Quilt
We have two queen size quilts on our project list, and originally both were going to be made from the Simply Woven pattern that has been discussed several times (see Current Project #1 article). I have pretty much decided that I cannot make another quilt from that same pattern, back-to-back. Even though the fabric is in a very different palate, just the idea of making another 56 blocks the same is too much for me. Have you ever made two quilts the same?
Here is a reminder of the fabrics we have already purchased for Andrea and Chris’ quilt. The new pattern we have selected to make for them is called Jimmy John (pattern found here), and was offered as a free pattern from Jo’s Country Junction back in 2014. Of course we will need to modify the pattern a bit by adding an additional row, but since we purchased two jelly rolls initially we should have plenty of fabric.
Here is a close up from the pattern, and how they quilted it. It seems like it may go together quickly, but that of course remains to be seen. HAHA You know you will be seeing an update shortly. I hope! ~smile~
