love your color choices. Directional fabric also frustrates me, but a lot of times I don’t realize it is directional until I go to put HST’s together…I feel your pain….it is still an amazing block and super cute!

Roseanne that block is perfect. I love the navy and white. Might need to do a navy and white quilt.

I personally love that the “direction” on the navy print is not all the same way. It’s good to mix it up a little! and what a gorgeous color! AND those background dots? Just brilliant! Before we know it the whole quilt will be done. have a wonderful weekend (kiss the littles for me!)

Hello Roseanne, I really like the way the block turned out and just do not understand what you mean about the half square triangles turning out correctly. They look correct to me, so please do explain. Only because, I am so curious as to what I am missing. LOL. If I did not have enough UFO projects to finish, which is my total goal for the year and I am doing Carole’s Mystery Minuet Quilt, I would go and start this BOM with you. Plus, we are going to be moving to another state before the end of summer, if all goes as planned. Thank you for sharing your block and by the way, I like the fabrics that you chose! Have a fantastic day!

  6. Love that navy print! It is fun seeing them come together! I posted mine last night – we are both early birds this month.

That is an interesting block. I wonder what it would look like with more of the same. Have a great weekend!

  8. Thanks for introducing me to Patterns by Jen. I like the idea of a quilt-along structured around color. Your first set of blocks are looking good!
