Cross Stitch Update – Ignored Too Long
Sue and I have been cross stitching the football and baseball teams. Sue has been plugging along. She even finished the Ram’s (in the original Los Angles colors, and now they’re back) following the Chiefs:
We Love Cross Stitch:
I haven’t been as successful or as dedicated as she when working on the baseball teams. I was leading the ‘race’ so to speak when I only had five teams to finish. Since I’ve been stuck at that same number for months (and months) I realize I need to at least get this one finished:
Since I’m going to be on a self-imposed non-sewing and -quilting vacation soon, it may be time to buckle down. Get ‘er done, so to speak. I mean seriously – this just has the blue to be filled in for the skyline. And then the words New York and it’s done. Here’s a reminder of the first set of teams, for one nephew. This is the end of the second set that we’re working on.
All we have left to cross stitch in baseball are the Mets, Braves, Padres, Giants and Diamondbacks; and in football the Broncos, Colts, and the Jets. The Jets pattern is just so darn cute – a little plane shaped football player. Sue is saving it for last because it is her favorite.
So Christine from Stitch All the Things recently posted an article about cross stitching. Unfortunately she had to rip something out . . . but her post prompted me to unbury my cross stitch. It truly was buried beneath some quilting books and other junk. Since we’re not flying I don’t see why this project can’t come along on vacay with us. Thanks for the motivation Christine! ~smile~
