Happy Presidents’ Day
I hope you are enjoying the holiday celebrating our Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. I really do not understand how we can celebrate the birthday of George Washington, and not have it actually be his birthday. I guess it is more convenient to have it be the third Monday in February as far as having a long weekend . . . so let’s roll with it.
In celebration, I found this cute newly released fabric and pattern to spark some interest in the all American sport of baseball. I live near Chicago, IL and in case you haven’t heard – the Cubs broke their 108 year record and won the World Series in 2016. I know A LOT of Cub fans. A lot! I think just about every single person I know would love a baseball quilt of some sort, be it a baby quilt, a throw for the living room/den, a king size quilt for the bed – babies, children, women and men. It seems that sport can bring everyone together when cheering for a common goal of their team winning the elusive trophy.
Here is a link to the fabric line called Play Ball by Benartex:
You will find the free pattern with some fussy cuts there as well (meaning the fabric was cut without regard to waste but to get the design/print on the fabric to be exactly where they wanted before trimming).
Please let me know if you enjoy these free pattern sharing. I love to see them myself!
P.S. We are not affiliated with Benartex at all. I am sharing because I thought you might enjoy it.
