Help From a Friend and a Purse For SIL
We can officially check off our list the purse for my sister-in-law, Nancy. Thankfully, this task was accomplished with a
little lot of help from a friend. Here is the purse Nancy asked us to replace for her, and the new one:
I have to be honest and say that we had all good intentions to make this purse ourselves. I diligently search Pinterst, found a pattern that I thought would make a good candidate for the replacement, and then started whining. It’s not that we couldn’t follow the pattern and hopefully be successful; it’s more that we didn’t want to fail! One of our friends and fellow quilter, Barbara, even offered to make the purse for us. No – we couldn’t take the easy way out. We got this. Or do we?!
Enter Vicki from Vicki’s Crafts and Quilting with an innocent post about getting ready for a couple of craft fairs that she is preparing for. She’s been sewing table runners, knitting sweaters, and sewing purses like crazy! Wait a minute. Purses?!! Quilted purses. Hmm, maybe she might have one in blue . . . let me check her Etsy shop. Yes, indeed she does have a blue quilted purse and one with lots and lots of handy, dandy pockets inside.
And a snap closure too!
The next steps happened pretty quickly. I sent a text to Sue with the link to Vicki’s offerings, she agreed and gave the a-okay go ahead, and just like that this gem was in my cart and checked out. Even though Vicki had craft fair items to complete and deliver, along with manning the booth at the fair, she was able to ship this purse out quickly. She even included this cute card in the package with our love!
How cool is that?! So we are marking this item off our list thanks to a little help from our friend. ~smile~
