I Love Thursday #123 Numerous Blessings
This is the 123rd post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
The Count – Ahh Ahh Ahhh! Our sweet girl, Addison, is fascinated by the Count on Sesame Street. I didn’t realize it but she even can laugh just like the Count. It’s funny to hear her as she goes, “Ahh ahh ahhh!” We love that little sweetheart. ♥ ♥
Casino gambling! We recently went with friends to one of our favorite casinos in New Buffalo, Michigan. While we stayed for less than four hours, the laughter and friendship can not be beaten on the drive there and back home. After an hour of playing the penny slots, Sue and I were down money. We took a lunch break, regrouped and chatted with our friends.
Thankfully, right after we had a nice luncheon our luck turned. The Scarab machine gave us a whole slew of Wilds and $37, followed shortly thereafter by Wild Orchid paying out $81. Woohoo! It was nice to leave the casino slightly ahead although I call breaking even a huge win. All four of us had lots of fun.
Inspire Curiosity! This wonderful design arrived on a package at work this week and I snapped a photo right away. The only thing missing was the colored pencils to bring this design to life. I can picture this with a 70s-vibe in red, orange, yellow – and other brights. How about you?
Live snow globes! This must be all the rage because we have them in the two cities I frequent the most. Both at home and at work I see these heated snow globes. It’s a cool idea for a different picnic experience.
Dominic is always ready to read a book be it morning, noon or night. If reading a book doesn’t interest you, how about a ride down the slide?! Both of our sweet littles enjoy the Minky fabric on the backside of the Olaf quilt. Addison rubs her face and head on the fabric, while Dominic counts the individual bumps. That enjoyment took 15 minutes! When it’s cleaning day and the cover comes off the couch . . . well, that means 1) there are lots of giggles going on, and 2) you MUST jump on the cushions.
Addison’s new trick is to climb onto the side table. She gave such a sweet smile for us babysitting one evening. That evening, Auntie Sue saw the back of Addison’s head a lot since she wouldn’t leave her side/lap. Dominic and Auntie Rose love this episode of Sesame Street and the Shape Hunt. Dominic loves to have his neck rubbed while leaning and enjoying a refreshing cup of water. Finally, Addison already has droopy drawers just like her momma, grandma, and Auntie Sue. Even a diaper doesn’t add any cushioning to our skinny girl. ♥ ♥ ♥
