I Love Thursday #139 – Blessings Galore
This is the 139th post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Love #1
Rhubarb! When we visited my sister a few weekends ago she sent some strawberry rhubarb home with us. YUM! I love rhubarb. Don’t you? I found a recipe online for some rhubarb muffins and made a batch. Sue’s Mom and I enjoyed them with some coffee last weekend, while Sue skipped the coffee portion of the treat.
Love #2
Mini charm packs! I just received a wonderful thank you in the mail from Sarah at Confessions of a Fabric Addict for participating in the Hands2Help drive. Sarah amazes me with her organization and dedication, and the two mini charm packs were a happy and pleasant surprise. I think these will be dedicated to making some doll quilts for A Doll Like Me! Some dolly quilts are well overdue.
Love #3
Happy Father’s Day to all the father’s out there. Andrea must have taken 300+ or so photos to get this one where all three littles were looking in the same direction. Sweet pea little Colt really wants you to enjoy the day on Sunday!
Love #4
Addison loves to play with her Frozen castle. Recently, the castle had an unexpected visit from Oscar the Grouch. I’m not sure if Oscar stuck around since it was rather chilly. Addison seems to be a bit more tolerant of her new cousin, Colty. Rumor has it that there is a new tent in town at Dominic and Addison’s house. Two youngsters couldn’t wait for it to be setup!
Colty has a pretty cool bouncy seat and his cousins enjoyed the different attached toys. Dominic is still a huge fan of water painting, especially when Elmo is exposed. He’s also a good brother, welcoming the chance to warm up the pool water for his sister. Finally, he is still a bit territorial with items like his baby seat that little Colt uses now. Happy Thursday! ♥ ♥ ♥

The kids are so cute!. Muffins look yummy!
Your charm packs are so pretty! I have a few but I’m not sure what to do with them! Your muffins look delicious. The kids are as cute as ever!
Looks like a lot of fun is bing had there! I wasn’t sure if Colt was the Grouch looking at his expression! LOL
Happy Thursday to you, even if it is Friday. Love those kiddos!
As always thanks for making me smile as I looked at the children’s photos. Such cute little kids. I discovered a forgotten little patch of rhubarb here in a very shaded spot, perhaps why it hadn’t grown much. I plan to move it…sometime, as I too enjoy rhubarb in season. Every Newfoundland outport home had their patch of rhubarb.
I’m not big on rhubarb – but the coffee looks delicious. It’s hard to get guinea pigs all pointed the same direction for a photo – I’m not surprised that three little kids took 300+ photos to get a good one! LOL Good stuff!
Rhubarb, mini charms, all your littles … what’s not to LOVE?
Rhubarb! I made a coffee cake last year it was awesome. Now I want rhubarb, but I have a Marionberry pie now. What a fun surprised with the mini charms. As usual the littles are adorable.
Food, quilting and littles – a perfect post! Congrats on the little fabric bundles; whatever you do with them, I’m sure it will be perfect! The littles grow too fast each week! I love rhubarb but never have it. I might have to go begging from some of my friends, because now I want to make my favorite recipe. Those muffins look tasty!
The thing of it is: I noticed an odd theme here – reflected in the beverage containers in the photos.
#1 The purple mug with the muffins – I spied a snowman!
#2 The plastic tequila glass by Dominic’s side – I’m sure it held only water for his coloring, but heh don’t think those things go unnoticed!
😎
Hello Roseanne, Yumm! Your rhubarb muffins look delicious. I have two huge plants growing out in front of my porch and they are going to make delicious desserts of every sort before to long. My raspberries are producing delicious berries that I have to compete with the birds who gets them first. We forgot to buy a net to cover them with and have not made it into the store yet. My Mom is having the same competition. LOL.
It is always such a brilliant way to lead everyone to think about the blessings in our lives the way that you do. Another part of your blog, I hope that you never stop sharing. Along with the little ones and their pictures of the discoveries they are making and the fun they have. Family is always important and wonderful to share! Thank you and have a fabulous day!
Such a wonderful post. Made strawberry rhubarb crisp this week. Gone in a flash!! So good. Also put pies in the freezer. Those mini charms are so nice. Congrats and well deserved. Those littles are always so much fun to read about. Thanks.
Kudos to Andrea’s patience. Great photo of the three of them. Looks like yummy muffins.
Your muffins look yummy, Roseanne! A good use for that strawberry rhubarb! I’ve never baked with rhubarb before – do you have to cook it first with the strawberries? I got a little package like that from Sarah, too – she really is amazing to do that for all of us who participate. I think Dominic needs everyone to know that he is #1, lol! Always fun to see what your littles are up to!
I tried growing rhubarb here and it died – you know how in the north you can’t seem to kill that plant! now my brother the farmer is trying to see if he can grow it – I hope he has better luck then I did – it is just a tad cooler at his place a little northwest of me so maybe? if so I will get it from him – normally you can’t even find it it in the grocery stores here in Arkansas sometimes you can find a bag of frozen but not always. I love it
Roseanne your “I Love Thursday” posts are always welcome! It’s a blessing to be reminded every week that we do, in fact, have so much for which to be thankful. I am thankful that you allow us to love on your littles, if vicariously!
Coffee and muffin – cannot go wrong. Rhubarb – was just talking about it yesterday! Neither Joe nor I are a fan, unless it is mixed with another berry like strawberries or raspberries – in a crisp, yum! Sarah is wonderful, isn’t she? And as always such enjoyable photos of the kiddos.
There they are! The look on Colt’s face next to Addison is priceless…begs for a caption…these three are so dang uplifting…living by proxy here! Thank you for the fix! I can go on now with the rest of the week LOL
