I Love Thursday #144 – Abundant Blessings
This is the 144th post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Love #1
A friend shared this sign for anti-mask wearing patrons, and it just struck me as funny and sadly true.
Love #2
Godiva chocolates! How nice is it to get an unexpected box of chocolates delivered to your front door?!! Rebecca Grace sent over this lovely wrapped box with some tasty chocolates that Sue and I enjoyed in short order. YUM!
Love #3
Dog days of summer! Egad it was hot and humid last weekend. We traveled to Hawaii and Cairns, Australia in August one year. Both places had high humidity like we had this weekend. Yuck. With a dew point of 77 degrees, we are again thankful that our a/c is working.
Love #4
Baby Colt sure does love his daddy and it looks like his ginger coloring is coming out even more in the sunshine. Colt also enjoys sitting on GG’s lap looking at some new toys that we picked up. He loves seeing that baby in the mirror – who is that good looking fellow?!
Love #5
Speaking of the dog days of summer, Dominic thought he should bring some of the water table water over to Colt. Colt was open to that option! Then who doesn’t enjoy the wind in your hair and enjoying the swings for the first time since March?!! Both Dominic and Addison enjoyed the park swings last Saturday. New to both of them is dipping for their dinner ala taco meat and chips. It looks like Dominic got a bit of it on his chin. ~smile~
Dominic then took to painting at the kitchen table and building a Duplo tower. Addison visited Gamma and posed for a sweet picture as our American Girl. Finally, the best place to watch Elmo is on your tummy on the upholstered bench. That sure looks comfy to me – bare feet and all!

Roseanne I need a copy of that sign to post outside my door! Mmmmmm Godiva chocolate and those littles. Not sure which is sweeter!
I love that sign! Wear the darn mask!! Chocolate is always good! The kids are adorable and growing so fast!
There they are, my week ending heart boost…so dang cute! Thank you for the “fix”! Wish we had a little more sunny heat here…been running very windy storms, which are fun to watch, but not great on the migraines with the pressure changes!
Any week with chocolate is a good week! Lots of fun pictures of the littles, they look like they are having a pretty fun summer.
I feel you with the humidity. Urgh. How can it be 77 but with the humidity feel like 85? Oh My Miss Addison is losing that baby face and looking more little girl. Colt, love the hair! Dominick such a sweet little man, and enjoyed dipping definitely. Oh and Yay for chocolate.
We’re not anywhere near your humidity but more so since it’s monsoon season. Cute pics of the littles and that Godiva chocolate looks good!
Godiva chocolates! How wonderful. People have gotten quite creative with anti-masker signs. 😀
I love that sign, Roseanne! Wouldn’t it be nice if people really would realize the masks are to help keep others safe? That’s way too hot, especially with the “feels like” temp up toward 100! Hope you’re staying cool. Cute pictures of the kiddos! Colt looks like a happy guy, and chips dipped in taco meat sounds yummy! Happy Thursday!
I can’t believe how big all 3 littles are getting!!! It won’t be long and I won’t be able to call them “littles.” And I love the mask sign!! Perfect!
What a wonderful post! We are normally in a dry climate (under 10% humidity) and use a swamp cooler. Have had warm to hot days but not too bad. Thunderstorms moved in and cooled things down but the humidity went up a bit making the nights not so nice. Down to 50 though this AM…so nice. I’m with the kids when it comes to water and that bench is just the right size for Addison. Chocolate….yum!! Thanks for all the photos of the kids.
Children’s toys have changed so much. Good for them. Wow- what a great gift idea of chocolates delivered. Gives me good ideas for the future. Whoa- that is way hot and humid for you guys. Stay safe.
Mary
babies and mirrors! Sometimes, when I was a nanny, I’d put the baby in front of a mirror and watch her laugh and wiggle! He is a handsome fellow… looks like a baby Jamie from outlander. LOVE the sign, have to print that out to keep me chuckling. And it’s true around here for sure. Here’s to enforcement of mask rules! Surprise chocolate? And so pretty packaging!!! presentation is part of the gift and that is so pretty! you deserve it!
Great likes! I love that photograph with Addison in front of the fireplace! She is such a girly girl! Love Colt’s red hair and love that Dominic brought his water table over to show Colt–what a sweet boy! Have a safe and happy day and stay cool!
Wonderful likes today! The sign was the best! May I borrow it?
“Littles” in your life make every thing better. My sister, a counselor her whole career, says, “ if you’re feeling down, spend a little time pretending to be 3! “. They see the world as a wonderful place!
oh chocolate – how yum! what a pleasant surprise that would be – I love the sign!! too hot here to and now some rain again this morning – which we need – but means higher humidity for sure – I’m never happy with the weather it seems!!
Blessings abound at your house, Roseanne. Those precious little children…what fun to watch all their antics and isn’t growth something. Dominic now looks like a big boy especially compared to Colt.
Humidity is hard on us here as we are just not used to it. Been cooler lately with another heat warning for the weekend.
I thought that store sign was spot on!
Yesterday and this morning we’ve had a lovely break from the heat. It was so cool last night, it was almost worthy of a jacket! Foggy this morning, though! Those littles – so cute! And chocolate – yum!
