I Love Thursday #153 Abounding Blessings
This is the 153rd post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Love #1
The grammar police! The difference between your you’re has always been a pet peeve of mine, so I had to share this giggle. Besides we can all get through this year . . . right?!!
Love #2
English muffin pizzas! It was cool enough this weekend to use the oven and make some small individual pizzas. Three sausages and three pepperoni pizzas made on English muffins.
Love #3
Baby Colt enjoys his time with Auntie Andrea and his two cousins each week. First, he laughs and laughs when Auntie Andrea says he’s going to nap. Good one! ♥ ♥
Then, even though he’s been taken out of the kiddo pool he still wants that floating dinosaur. He’s bound and determined to get it. Finally, we all knew it wouldn’t be long before Colty was pulling himself up. Can walking be far behind?! Slow down, buddy – you’re only just turned six-months-old!
Love #4
With the temperatures on a rollercoaster, the littles are still able to enjoy the small baby pool at a moment’s notice. Dominic still loves dumping water over himself but his sister keeps her distance. While D was at school one morning, she got to try out the big girl swing. It didn’t feel as relaxing as the baby swings do . . . so she was ready to get out.
Gamma got Addison a Jessie (from Toy Story 2) hat for her Halloween costumer. From the delighted look, as you can see in the mirror, I would say she likes it. And she is quite happy to model it with her pink jammies. It seems our sweet girl likes to eat chalk – blue chalk – and quite a bit of it. We have to work on fine-tuning her dining choices. Yuck! Next, what’s a girl to do when momma leaves her behind, even when she’s all ready to go?! Sit on her rocker with her friend, Grover. Finally, Addison found two really good sticks right in her backyard! Hopefully, no eating or chewing on them like last time.

I’m still giggling about the grammar police. Your pizzas look tempting and your littles are so entertaining! The chalk photo had me remembering when one of my kids did the exact same thing with the red chalk. 😉
My mom always made English muffin pizzas as an after school snack for my brother and me. I loved them! Your kiddos are growing like weeds!! Adorable!
Oh Colt you are going to be running with the big dogs soon enough. He has the sweetest smile. Finn jumped in the pool today and declared it is mighty cold, so Dominick dumping water on himself it must be invigorating. LOL Addison and her eating stuff. Funny some kids never do stuff like that and others try to taste everything.
Always smile all the way through your Thursday posts, Roseanne. Have to say what a bright and happy boy that Colt is -turning after his cousins. Oh, I must remember that pizza on muffins. What a great idea! I too Love the Jessie hat. Toy Story was so good all the parts.
Colt looks so much older than 6 months! You guys have got your hands full already. Oh dear with Addisons blue chalk! I’m a grammar police too!
Oh such wonderful blessings! I can’t believe how much Colt has grown and he is in that very busy stage now! LOL@ Addison and the blue chalk 😀 Dom seemed very busy in the pool 🙂 So many wonderful memories you all make with those beautiful children!
She is adorable with blue chalk and all! This world would never be completely joyful without children!
The ENglish Muffin Pizza looks tasty!
Thanks for the quote about teachers. I can super relate!
I’ve seen that meme before. Always makes me laugh. I have a ton of english muffins – I should make pizzas. Those look delicious. That smile on Colt’s face! Wonderful!
You’re so right! The devil probably gets their, they’re and there mixed up as well!
Love pics of the littles!! It always looks like a fun time!
Oh my, she must be chalk deficient!! LOL Slow down Colt!!!
Love the grammar police! That Colt is too sweet – laughing at naptime. Oh, and I still owe you that story!
Hello Roseanne, I enjoyed your “grammar police” bit you shared. My big one is reading a supposedly professionally written article with all of the words that are spelled incorrectly. I thought they hired proof readers and they do have built in gadgets on computers, also. I know because I use it! LOL. All of the wonderful pictures and information you shared on the kiddos is fun and brought great cheer to my day! We actually got RAIN last night!! Yippee! I have not been able to find any information on how much or if it did help any of the fires. Thank you for sharing your fun post today! Have a fabulous day!
Oh how I laughed at that Teacher meme! Still chuckling even now. And don’t you think Colt looks like Dominic in that standing picuture?? (What is he doing standing at 6 months anyway? Who does he thing he is??) LOL
I just love seeing the photos of the little ones! They seem to grow before my eyes.
Your (correct version 😊) mention of English muffin pizzas brought back fond memories. When our children were small we used to have fun making them. Yum!
I love that grammar meme! At first, I thought, “oh no, there’s a misspelling in that one!” but then I got it! 🤣 Cute Colt – he must be strong to be pulling up already. Oops and yuck on the blue chalk snack! So glad the kids can still enjoy the pool – might as well take advantage of those warm temps!
OMG #2 is brilliant…. gonna do that soon! The first quote is hilarious
Yes, Your and You’re and its and It’s are some of my pet peeves. Aren’t those littles getting so big! Colt looks like a charmer and whose to say you can’t lay down for a nap with a pool toy. Both Addision and Dominic have the same blond hair. That girl has the most expressive face. Thanks for another peek at theses precious ones.
The kids are just so cute! Love that they can still play in the pool some! And I love the grammar meme- the one that always aggravates me the most is the use of an apostrophe in plurals. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed that very often my phone autocorrects plurals by ADDING an apostrophe. It’s so aggravating that you have to manually go back and take it out, and occasionally I’ll accidentally send one like that I missed and then I worry that people will think I’m an idiot who doesn’t understand plurals!
Oh my, they are growing so fast! Such cuties!!
Love the pictures as always! The little ones make my week every time! Poor Addison looks somewhat “lost” without Dominic around. As for the grammar police, do not mock us! We are everywhere!
Addison and Colt are both growing so fast. Love Colt’s grin, and Addison admiring herself in the mirror is just darling. Always enjoy peeking at your littles. The meme cracks me up.
That photo of Addison looking at herself in the mirror is priceless! I can relate to being the grammar police. The employees I supervise would totally agree! I may have to try an English muffin pizza soon. Yours looks delicious! Have a great day! Mary
