I Love Thursday #161 Beaucoup Bénédictions
This is the 161st post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Love #1
Heartening memes! I really smiled when I saw the meme that read, The world’s a better place because of you. Gosh, I sure hope that to be true. And the second meme, Encourage one another and build each other up, seems so fitting for the quilting community as a whole. I have yet to meet a quilter blogger/friend that isn’t willing to lend a suggestion or even fabric to someone in need. Thank you to each one of you who read this. We are blessed to know you and have you in our life.

Love #2
Jackson 5 mural! The building this mural had been painted on in Gary, Indiana was recently demolished. Before it was brought down a nice photo was shared, and I am thankful to have seen it. The artist really had great talent to capture these five young men as they were catapulted into fame. Surely this painting brought a smile to many a face.

Love #3
Winter Wonders! Last Wednesday, the night before Thanksgiving, we took Dominic to see the nearby Winter Wonders light show. We enjoyed several Santas riding Harley Motorcycles – there were seven because we counted them. Dominic was happy to be out of his car seat for the short ride, looking out the window with Annie Sue (Auntie Sue). We were surprised to see Cinderella’s coach and horse as a part of the wonders, but we happily snapped a picture. Next year, we might be able to bring his sister along, too.
Love #4
We can help but love our little bucket heads. Obviously, they crack us up along with themselves. Yay for a big boy bed! It does involve lots of happy jumping time and the Big Boy Truck Quilt is in use. Addison was quite fashionable for Thanksgiving, with a Thankful With a Grateful Heart shirt paired with some Buffalo plaid pants. She’s got it going on! The dynamic duo spent Thanksgiving morning driving around the basement – Batgirl and Fire Chief at your service.
Addison had to apply some chapstick but she was surprised to find that the color was clear. She thought a light pink shade would look great with her jammies. The girl is always sporting a few babies – is Addison in there?! Finally, Colt is a big boy walking between his parents. They are such a cute family. LOVE!

Ha ha–the bucket heads are cute! As is that quilt on the big boy bed!
Bucket heads!!! LOL! Better than Cheeseheads?
Your littles always make me smile Roseanne. The drive by light show is gorgeous. What fun you’ll have looking forward to next year when you can take the dynamic duo. The big boy bed looks pretty nice with the truck quilt.
Love your loves!!! Encouraging memes are always encouraging! And make us smile!
The littles are gradually getting bigger … soon you won’t be able to call them “littles.” It’s always fun to see them!
Of course, enjoyed those photos of the kids so much! You are lucky to get to spend time with them too! What fun outings especially for the holidays. The Santa Claus parade has been cancelled this year in the little town; I got to go with Robbie every year. Love those memes and that building art seems such a shame to lose.
I am loving the quilt! It looks super on the bed! Love the bucket heads too…too funny!! And little Colt is really photogenic, isn’t he…all of them just make me break out into a huge smile inside and out…thank you!
The Winter Wonders Light Show looked like fun and the bucket heads pic is another priceless one!
Santas on motorcycles! LOL. Goofy kids – I like the bucket-heads.
You are a blessing in my life, too. Thanks for all your Thursday gratitudes – sayings, lights, and bright kiddos!
I love the words of encouragement. We sure do need them right now. I used to love the Jackson 5! I never thought Michael would end up the way he did. Love the bucketheads having so much fun. The light show looks like a lot of fun too. We have one near us but I haven’t gone yet. Have a great week!
Such a wonderful post with so much to be grateful for. I truly enjoy those littles and all their fun play. My granddaughters lived in a rental with a huge empty basement that had the same footprint as the house. It was back east. They used it as a skating/scootering rink all winter! The Wonderland of Lights is amazing. Thanks for sharing.
The big boy bed looks wonderful and the truck quilt is perfect for it, Roseanne! I love that you were counting the Santas on motorcycles at the light show, too. Those are so fun! It’s too bad that mural had to be torn down along with the building and couldn’t be preserved in some way – that’s a part of history!
Wow Addison looks so grown up! And can I say that basement is the PERFECT place for the kiddos to play. I remember as a kid riding trikes and Pokey stick horses round and round our basement. Best fun for when it is too cold to play outside! Have a wonderful weekend friend!
Love the bucket heads!! And love watching them growing up through your pics. Wow, that pic of the Jackson Five takes me back! And really love Christmas light shows!!
Laughed so hard at the bucketheads!!! Thank you! The quilt you made looks great on Dom’s bed. That Addison is getting so big and is so pretty! I just love Colt’s dimples! He’s such a cutie! Stay safe dear friend! Hugs!
I always loved watching little kids play, you always wonder just where do they get their ideas from? Love the photo of the Jackson Five, I always loved their music and most other from Motown recording
I love the antics of kids, and watching where their imaginations take them! Always fun to see the photos of your littles! Those memes are very fitting for you, my friend. I enjoy our chats!
