I Love Thursday #162 Muchas Bendiciones
This is the 162nd post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Love #1
2020 Ornament! Sue and I are huge fans of the Grinch, and this ornament sums up our feelings about 2020. I love that the Grinch is holding a mask. Not to say that 2020 was a total bust as we have our sweet pea Colt who was born in March.

Love #2
Genius recipe holder! I saw a friend post this on Facebook the other day and thought it was just genius. Why the heck didn’t I think of this? I’m can totally see this working for me and even when I just referring to a printed page. What do you think??

Love #3
Soft touches! You just never know what impact you are leaving behind each and every day. Remember to try and leave everyone with a small piece of the best portion of you, like a wee bit of DNA.

Love #4
Colt has learned the draw of Sesame Street especially when you can clap along with When You’re Happy And You Know It Clap Your Hands. Dominic thought it was a nice day to go on a butterfly hunt. Unfortunately, they didn’t see any although it may have been just a wee bit chilly for them to be out. Dominic doesn’t mind browsing through quilting books, picking out our next project. He provides a good argument for why we should make this project – not that we need to be talked into anything.
Addison has started pedaling the Mickey Big Wheel bike in the basement, at least when her brother lets her. Super Hero Dominic now has a cape, mask, and wand for supering around. Addison is only allowed to wear the mask – her cape has to be the blanket. When it’s time to wash the toys, both of our littles step right up. It appears that Dominic went full-faced into washing, while Addison has her sleeves pushed up for the job. Finally, a posed night-night picture is the perfect backdrop for the Santa 2020 photo op.

oh, #3 so true of me, thinking of friends thru the day but not telling them…
The Grinch ornament is perfect! I love your impact saying. It’s so true yet we rarely think about these things. It makes you feel good. I love the hanger holding your book open. So smart! Colt looks quite happy! Watch out for the snow!!
I love the Grinch, husband not so much. I wonder if you can stream it. Love the advice giver and the willing dishwashers! So many adorables in this post.
Roseanne the Grinch ornament is just so right! I need to find one to hang in my sewing space to always remember the lessons learned in this year. As usual the littles make me smile. The recipe holder is pure genius. The staged sleep photo and resulting Santa photo is just heartstoppingly incredibly sweet. 😉
That Grinch ornament is the best! Now I have to find one. And the recipe holder, you’re right, so simple, so easy…never would have thought of it myself! But best of all…the little ones…so cute, especially the pose for the night sleep…made my entire week again…gracias mil!!
Roseanne – I have to get one of those Grinch ornaments!!! I am imagining us, years into the future, pulling it out of the box and saying “Do you remember 2020?” The recipe holder is inspired! I showed it to Head Chef, and he said – what a great way to save counter space!!! As always, your littles are adorable. My brothers and I shared a Big Wheel when we were young – one of our favorites!
Love #4 is number one, then Love #3 which are wonderful words, and then that cookbook holding hanger which is simply genius and yes to anything of a Grinch nature. I still remember how much I loved the movie when I saw it in a theatre years back…Jim Carey. Great loves!
Love your ornament. Great idea for the recipe holder, my home made recipe book is a wee bit worse for wear. But gee 40 + years of wear and tear. Great pic of the kiddos and the one with Santa is awesome. Great sentiment. Lately I have been trying to say thank you more, tell someone I like their earrings, ask how their parents are, tell them Merry Christmas, I like your hat, especially after a pretty sad experience at Hobby Lobby the other day. It doesn’t cost a thing to be kind.
Ha! That ornament! That recipe book holder is a hoot. I really like your love #3. Hope all is well with you! 🙂
Oh my! That last photo is adorable!!! Such sweet littles.
I needed this! Such a balanced approach, too…from that Grinch ornament (Oh, yeahhhh) to the quote to kiddos watching Sesame Street…I recently watched a documentary on Carroll Spinney (Big Bird) and so felt re-connected to that aspect of childrearing.
Hang in there, Roseanne!
At our guild Christmas party, a member digitized the Grinch motif on fabric then made sanitizer holders….so cute!
Love seeing your littles every week, Good Helpers they are!
Your Love #1 made me LAUGH out LOUD!!! So true!!!
And the recipe holder … perfect!
Your littles must warm your heart! I LOVE looking at the pictures and watching them grow!
Such a great post. Love the little memes, especially the recipe holder. I’d be using that trick but don’t have door handles on the cupboards (LOL)! Those littles are so cute. I love the way Addison has her head tilted down but is looking up only with her eyes when she is on the bike. We all need to train the kids to love quilt books. Thanks for a week full of joy!
Oh, Roseanne, the pj picture with Santa is just adorable! I love the Grinch ornament, too – where do you find them? The recipe holder idea is a great one – so fun when something simple is the perfect solution!
We love the Grinch and I think we need that ornament – or maybe I’ll digitize something similar!! LOL Just ordered my hubby, who has a Grinch sweat shirt, some Grinch face masks. He saw M’s, which she has to wear in her Christmas dance performance on Saturday and loved it! So, he has two on the way! Love all those pics of the littles, especially the Santa. That is an awesome pic!!
I am the only one in this household who likes the Grinch. I have a Grinch coffee mug, given to me by my nephew. I should dig it out. That recipe holder is brilliant. Of course, the littles just keep getting cuter and cuter. No post from me today, Wendy was being lazy.
