I Love Thursday #24 – Almost Spring
This is our 24th post of loves for the week. I cannot believe how quickly this year is whipping by already. We post these loves each Thursday along LeeAnna on blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find inspiration.
FIVE days! Until the official start of Spring, that is. That also means we lived through the daylight savings spring ahead business. ~eye roll~ I do not see the point of this any longer . . . but I sure do enjoy the longer light after work. I no longer feel like I should hibernate or head to bed at 6:00 p.m. YAY! It won’t be long and we’ll be able to take a certain little six-month-old out for walks or visit the zoo.
Short hair! It turns out that that same six-month old that we want to take for walks is into grabbing a handful of hair. Both his mom and Dr. Auntie Sue has longish hair, and he can hang on like no other. Ouch! But he can’t really get any of mine, which I am loving very much. ~smile~
Bulbs – as continuation of #1. I finally went out and looked at our bulbs to see if indeed we would be enjoying Spring as soon as the calendar says. Yippee! We do have bulbs peeking out of the ground and snow.
In no time our daffodils and hyacinth will be blooming. They get the early morning sunshine . . . and the yellow daffodils look so pretty and fresh. I’ll share a photo when they open.
Regatta sew-along. In January we started hosting a sew-along for the Regatta quilt. It has been so much fun, and no pressure. We had many of our friends join in, and we met a few new ones along the way. It has been so much fun that I think we should host another one. What do you think? Would you like to join another no-pressure sew-along? If so, any suggestions for patterns? I have just started auditioning some that might be good.
Blog Card. My friend and fellow blogger, Karen at Tu-Na Quilts, recently shared her blog card. I replied and told her that we had one as well but I never thought of sharing it here. Jan at Cocoa Quilts asked me to share ours, so I thought I would do so here. I am really happy with it because it has a small picture of Sue and I at a Kenny Chesney concert that was so much fun. And the back has the jigsaw quilt that we made for Lauren and Joey as a wedding shower gift. I did notice that our Etsy shop link is incorrect – I guess I’d better correct that for next time!
Lest you think Dominic wasn’t happy with his Tigger poses last week, he wasn’t. He didn’t really want to smile for mom – he wasn’t feeling his outfit. Never fear – he had second thoughts and was happy to pose for mom this week! And, as always lately, he is enjoying his teething ring with his good buddy Elmo. ~smile~
That’s it for this week! I hope your week is filled with many blessings. Happy Thursday! Our Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link for more quilting fun or in the sidebar of our website – check out what our friends are up to. Like/follow us on our Facebook page and share your likes/loves there! We love to see them. ~smile~
