I Love Thursday #29
This is our 29th post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find inspiration.
Love #1
Glimpses of what’s to come! Here in SE Wisconsin and especially where I work in the Chicago-area, we are on weather front lines often. Sometimes to the cold side of them, and occasionally on the warm side. At the end of last week we enjoyed 70 degrees for two whole days before the bottom fell out and we returned to winter. It is so nice to think about grilling out, having the windows open, and riding in the car with the sunroof open. Soon, right?!!
Love #2
Daffodils! Buried by the ice and snow storm we had this weekend, and not to be uncovered soon since more is coming. Our hyacinth bulbs are still growing but they open a bit later. They smell so nice and you get a whiff of them as you walk up to the front door. Umm.
Love #3
Another wedding! We have another wedding to look forward to this summer. Sue’s handsome nephew asked his girlfriend to marry him just recently. It is a real sweet story, as they have known each other since kindergarten. He had a crush on her and loved her grandpa because he owned a trophy shop. Is there anything cooler to an elementary-aged young man?! They vacationed in Disney World and he popped the question in front of the Cinderella castle. That gives me the chills just typing it, it is so wonderful. Congratulations to both of them!
Love #4
Dominic is back to visiting each Friday afternoon for a few weeks. Yippee! He is this close to crawling, getting up on all fours but then not quite sure what to do. We discovered he has a deep belly laugh when momma plays ball with him. Here he is on all fours – now what do I do?? And me reading him a book about puppies. ~smile~
That’s it for this week – a short list. I hope your week is filled with many blessings. Happy Thursday! Our Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link for more quilting fun or in the sidebar of our website – check out what our friends are up to. Like/follow us on our Facebook page and share your likes/loves there! We love to see them. ~smile~
You are such a good auntie and that is a sweet photo of the two of you. We are being promised warmer temperatures for later next week. Keep hoping…
I am SO ready for some real spring – we have many more things blooming here now, but it’s still COLD.
Oh I long for the warmer temps and all the accompanying perks!!! I’m so over this winter, or should I say pretend spring! So sad for the flowers as well as the robins! Mr. D is growing so fast. Doesn’t seem possible that he could be making plans to crawl. Sounds like a great favs list! On to the next one. 😊❤️
Seems like winter doesn’t want to go away. You’ve had some crazy weather out there. I can’t wait for a few 60F days….
Thankfully, daffodils and other bulbs are hardy, and they will live through all the bad weather! Glad you’re seeing a few hints of Spring! How wonderful to see you reading to Dominic – that was the best advice ever got when my oldest son was born – read to him from the very beginning and he will become a reader.
uh oh… and then you get to chase him all over the house! Is there much more fascinating to watch than a baby diaper butt as they scurry across the floor in search of??? I love that. But then they walk/run and life is alllllllll about following them around. Daffodils are the happy flower
Wonderful news! And look at that little bit “try” to go!!
Reading to little kids is the best, and so good for them! Enjoy your time with him! We have sunshine today and warmer temps on the way — yippee!
