I Love Thursday #38
This is our 38th post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Love #1
Ocean’s 8. I am a huge fan of this franchise movie. I mean really, who doesn’t like George Clooney and Brad Pitt from Ocean’s 11, 12 and 13?!! Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and Anne Hathaway are just some of the cast members plus the seats were the Dream Loungers. Those are a small slice of heaven in a theater if you haven’t tried them – did you know that they heat up now?! Couple all that with some movie popcorn and we have a SWEET date night at our 4:10 p.m. opening day showing. We don’t dare go to a later showing because of the previous mentioned Dream Loungers. I would certainly be (softly) snoring, they are that comfortable. We enjoyed this movie very much, and only wish it were a bit longer for more character development. I will look forward to seeing this again, and it will fall into the category of watching it any time it is shown.
Love #2
My peeps! Of course I love my peeps but here is one fine reason why. There was an AMC James Bond marathon and our peeps called us and told us to watch! How cool is that?! Instead of seeing it on and saying, huh I wonder if Sue and Roseanne know this is on? They followed through and told us – woot woot. Just FYI – AMC shows the uncut versions as opposed to Spike that cuts them to pieces to fit their time slot. That means on AMC you get to see James in some steamy love scenes (sigh) as well as all the cool tools and toys that Q gives him. Much, MUCH better with the longer, true versions on AMC.
Love #3
Cruising. This week we have been enjoying a NCL cruise to Canada and Maine. While we visited St. John, it was not where Laughing Gas Ann lives in Newfoundland. Here is our itinerary in a nutshell. This also explains why I haven’t been responding to comments. I apologize!
Love #4
Pedicures! For Mother’s Day we get Sue’s mom a pedicure each year. This year the weather was not cooperating so we waited a little bit before heading in for some pretty toes. It is SO relaxing to pick out your polish color, have your feet soak in warm water while relaxing in massage chairs, and then walking out with cute and stylish tootsies. Sue and Jenny get light colors – peach and pink while I go for the iridescent dark orange. I was this close || to picking red!
Love #5
Dominic! You didn’t think I could possibly not share a sweet picture of this little nine-month-old, did you?!! Since we get a daily (or sometimes multi-daily) picture, I ALWAYS have a cute picture to share. Here is our sweet boy enjoying some vanilla pudding with just a bit on his chin. We couldn’t find a bib . . . so we improvised with a towel, but that would wreck his ensemble.
I realize I shared quite a few pictures of our sweet boy this week. I just can’t help myself!
That’s it for this week! We hope your week is filled with many blessings. Happy Thursday!

Have a wonderful trip! ❤️
Hi, lots of lovely things….yes, I enjoy those lounge seats too but we do not have heated ones. I’d love to see that movie as heist movies are some of my favourites. Your cruise must have been to Saint John, New Brunswick and it all sounds wonderful. Besides trains, I also love boats too. And never tire of seeing that handsome little fellow.
I wish you’d shown us your orange… I want it too! Who makes it? and who doesn’t love vanilla pudding?!
Loved seeing all the photos of Dominic! He’s so adorable! Have a relaxing time and enjoy!! cheers!
Cruises are fun – that looks like a nice one! I loved the Ocean’s 11 – I’m looking forward to seeing the 8 as well.
Your cruise sounds wonderful! Bet you will have lots of likes to share with us when you’re back!
been thinking about one of those cruises – let me know if you would recommend it! and please! NEVER too many pictures of that beautiful baby! Hope you are relaxing!
Hope you are having a wonderful time!
Glad you enjoyed the East coast of Canada. I’m taking a road trip down there this summer. For 3 weeks we’ll travel through Que, NB, NS, PEI and the Magdalen Islands…..can’t wait.
