I Love Thursday #66 – Happy 2019!
This is our 66th post of things we love for the week and the first one for 2019. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Love #1
Happy New Year! We hope you each enjoyed welcoming in the New Year in your own way. We stayed home and caught up on some taped programs from the Fall, and enjoyed a crisp, cool diet Coke. Exciting, I know! This picture reminds me of the Fireworks quilted on Fireburst. If you haven’t seen them, Tish shared all the finished version on her January 1st Fireburst parade. So pretty!
Love #2
Nine-patch quilts! We started working on a new quilt, just for fun. It is one that Sue plans on hand quilting, and we returned to our favorite pattern of the nine-patch. You deserve a little peek at the segments waiting to be sewn together. I’dd share all the dets tomorrow on our January OMG post.
Love #3
Dominic remains his busy self, although he is not a big brother yet!! Here’s a couple of photos from the past week. The first is the boy going through his Christmas stocking, followed by him riding his first motorcycle. Vroom-vroom. Next, him and I were avidly watching Sesame Street although one of us more than the other. The number of the day was 10! Although Barnes & Noble usually has storytime on Thursdays, it wasn’t held last week. It didn’t matter to Dominic – he can look at books anytime, with or without storytime. And finally, one more Sesame Street program. He loves his Elmo fix!
Short and sweet for this week. Happy Thursday! See you next week with more loves. Our Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link for more quilting fun or in the sidebar of our website – check out what our friends are up to. Like/follow us on our Facebook page and share your likes/loves there. We love to see them. ~smile~
I’m digging that motorcycle – didn’t we see one at a birthday party that Dominic attended? Happy New Year to you and yours!
It sounds like you are off to a rollicking new year start. =) There’s nothing like a good nine-patch for piecing happiness. Dominic looks so solemn when he’s watching the tv. LOL
Dom on the motorcycle! Wowee! Love the photos of him! Happy New year and happy week!!! Hugs!
Happy New Year! I like the fabrics for your 9patches. Dominic is a cutie!
I come get my Dominick fix, see some gorgeous fabric, Happy New Year.
Happy Thursday! What a cute little guy.
I love it that Dominic loves books! I’ll have to go check out the Fireburst parade, since I knew I liked the few I’ve already seen. It’s always fun to see what different color and fabric choices do for a pattern! 9 patches are a favorite of mine, and I have a few I’ve been sewing here and there in between other things. I’ll enjoy seeing what you’re going to do with yours! Happy New Year, Roseanne!
That’s so cool how you set up that mini slide show of Dominic. He sure is one loved child! Take care, Mary.
He is looking more a toddler and less a baby every week!
uh oh, how you gonna hold ’em down on the farm once they have a motorcycle? Hand quilting is zen… haven’t done it in years but it’s a fond memory. Isn’t it amazing to look back and realize how many I Like posts you’ve done?! Thanks for that!
It’s going to take a while for this old brain of mine to catch up with the new year’s number! You look so sweet there with Dominic on your lap…isn’t that just the nicest feeling in the world.
I love the blue and white blocks! Dominic — thanks for the fix 🙂
Fun to see all the pictures of Little D. Love those buffalo plaid jammies! Diet Coke is our favorite here, although I prefer a Dirty Diet Coke. Now I have that Sesame Street song in my head — 10, 10, 10 Let’s Sing the Song of 10! – hahaha. Enjoy your day, Roseanne!
I absolutely ADORE that picture of you and the little man!
Hi Roseanne, In our neighborhood we had a great fireworks display New Year’s Eve, it was unusually warm even for Florida– we sat out by pool drinks in hand to bring in the new year. I’ll have to visit Tish’s site to her fireworks display! Great pics of Dominic — love that red motorcycle! Happy Thursday!
Thank you for “partying” with me New Years Eve and joining in the display of quilts! A cold soda and your favorite shows are a perfect way to ring in the New Year. Love the little blue print in your new nine patch blocks…now we have to wait to see it all come together. Dominic is so cute! The little motorcycle pictures is adorable!
Now that was a sweet montage of my favorite little star! Thank you for rounding off my week as usual! Personally, the red motorcycle, now that’s a statement! Way to go, Dominic…
